I grew up in and for the most part have lived in San Marcos my entire life.  Before I was an attorney, I was a Texas Highway Patrolman with the Texas Department of Public Safety.  It was a wonderful job and agency and gave me much of the confidence I enjoy today  to practice law in a mature, adult manner.  I have been blessed to have wonderful clients for over three decades. I attribute that to the fact that we are known as hard workers.  I am known as a no-nonsense lawyer who strongly advocates for his clients and am blessed to work with a great young lawyer, Kathryn Sullivan, who has those same principles.  The Law only works if everyone is committed to Equal and Honest Justice for all.  

In addition to representing clients, I am a mediator with a fantastic mediation center, , in San Marcos.  The mediation center goes "live" on June 1, 2015.  It is in a rural area and is perfectly situated to help people resolve their legal issues in a soothing and professional way.

Charles Soechting
We hired Charles for my Dad's Estate. He was very precise and to the point. He helped us so much to understand the basics of of a will. I would hire him again, because he is very caring & understands his clients feelings in the matter. He gets the case handled properly & doesn't charge you outrageous prices.

Fights against injustices
Charles represented a family member who was unjustly pulled over by a police officer. He went above and beyond to prove his innocence. He truly cares for his clients. He counseled my son and warned him about following the law. He is an exNavy officer and previously worked in law enforcement. So he knows all sides of the law and he is the most just man I have ever met. His courtroom savvy is incredible to watch. Mostly, it is his character, he is an honorable man who truly cares. He has years of experience and knows how to defend. There are other lawyers out there that might have great ratings cause they are young and work the social media but this is the lawyer you should hire. He has experience, commitment and justice on his side!

Prompt and Productive Service
I've known Charles Soechting for 20+ years. Charles recently settled a matter for me in a case of non-payment from a client after 5 MONTHS of attempts on my part, with no results. The agreement was reached in an HOUR after a meeting in which Charles Soechting and all parties were present. Payments are being made as per the settlement agreement and this collection matter should be fully resolved soon.

Going Above and Beyond ! Excellent Attorney !
I have never written a review before but I believe anyone needing an excellent, honest and trusting attorney should consider Charles Soecthing. I have known Charles for over thirty five years and during this time I have seen him help many of police officers throughout the state of Texas. I was involved in a very serious accident while on duty as state trooper, hospitalized for over thirty days and off work for over ten months, Charles was there for me and my family. With Charles help, this difficult time was made easier. Over the years Charles, as the attorney for The Texas Department of Public Safety Association has represented over two thousand Troopers and many of times pro bono. As a Trooper myself of over thirty years, I have received many request for an attorney, and have always recommended Charles. His dedication to helping injured officers and their families is what makes him stand apart from other attorneys.

Compassionate, Consummate Professional
Charles was recommended to me by a family friend after the lawyer I originally retained following a tragic car accident took what should have been a simple settlement and proceeded to delay & complicate my case . Charles stepped in and began to clear up the confusion immediately with a few swift phone calls and letters. He was quickly on top of things and gave me the peace of mind I needed to be able to focus on my family and healing. He and his staff were very kind and considerate with a personal touch that made you feel like a friend, not just a client. He has many high qualities not usually associated with a lawyer and for those reasons I am glad to recommend him.

Integrity
We lived in San Marcos for several years back in the 90's. We had multiple legal issues where we dealt with Mr. Soechting, and we could not be more pleased. If there were more attorneys with his level of integrity, which is as good as it gets, this world would be a much better world!

Review for Charles Soechting
We were referred to Charles by our niece. Although he did not normally handle criminal matters, he agreed to do what he could to help us. Within minutes of sitting down at his Conference Room table he began making connections trying to connect the dots. We had been trying to get something accomplished with another attorney for 16 months and within minutes of meeting him, Charles had done more than the other attorney had even thought about in the time we were with him. We are so appreciative of Charles and Kathryn and will be eternally grateful to them.

Extraordinary Mantle of Care for Clients
I was a healthcare professional having worked as a DON for two different companies at the same time; when my son lost his life at work when the employer hounded them to hurry up. My son had professional training with BJ out of Alice, Tx; but the small company he worked for in San Marcos, Tx failed to make safety a priority. This attorney used extraordinary messures to see that I got all the financial and professional help that I needed to get past the shock of the tragedy. He treats his clients like family. He gets results extraordinarily fast catching people by surprise. He doesn't stop there: his followthrough is thorough and doesn't let go of you go until he knows you are in a safe place financially and spriritually.
