He spoke with me that day, over the phone, about my situation and gave me a spot – on estimate based on the details of my case. Although my separation was amicable, and the items I wished to part with in the divorce were written into the decree, Mr. Swayze found several errors of omission that could have lost me a great deal of money. After reviewing the paperwork, and making notes to help me convey the changes needed to my husband's lawyer, we had additional time left in our hour – long consultation. I contacted Mr. Swayze when I decided to file for divorce. He was very responsive and considerate to my situation. My case was not the easiest situation to complete being that my ex was located out of state and I am a retired disabled veteran. Cliff, as mentioned in another review, was a straight shooter with me and let me know what I was going to be dealing with and that it likely wouldn't be a fast process. Based on that call, I went with my gut and hired Cliff and I have to say that I made the right choice. I was always kept aware of updates, he was on time to any meeting or court appearance we had, and more importantly, I felt like I was talking to an every day guy, not a slimy lawyer. In other words, he makes you comfortable. Also, I always appreciated how available he was. If I called and had a question and he was in a meeting, I'd always get a call back after or after he left work, he had no issues using his own personal time to answer questions. In the end, I feel very fortunate that my case was conditionally dismissed, which means I'll do some community service and can't get in trouble for a certain length of time and it will be removed from my record. Is this to say your case will be dismissed? Obviously not, but I can vouch for Cliff, you'll be giving your business to someone who will work to earn it instead of a lawyer who acts like they're doing you a favor.
