Still the best family law attorney I’ve used!
Leigh helped me negotiate a new custody agreement between myself and my daughter’s father when I remarried. After moving and having used multiple lawyers in other areas, Leigh is still the best lawyer I’ve ever hired!

Ms De La Reza took great care of my family situation. Calm, reassuring and very professional. I feel that we achieved an optimal outcome in a very timely and efficient manner. I highly recommend her. I hope to never need such services again, however I have no doubt who to call in the event that I do.

A Great Lawyer
Leigh has represented me for over 10 years now, since I first suspected I may be facing a divorce, through the divorce itself, including two mediations, and through countless disputes over the past 10 years, including both over property and custody. She is skilled in her profession, clear in her explanations, kind but frank in her assessments, and a determined fighter in court. I would recommend her to anyone struggling with or anticipating a divorce or a custody dispute.

Hands down best lawyer and firm out there
Vaught Law Firm, and specifically Leigh de la Reza was highly recommended to me in a hard time. This firm and Leigh took me in as a part of their family as I went through my divorce. To say that they are outstanding at what they do is an understatement. I was a new mom, working a full time and part time job, and going through a divorce. I was able to relax and completely trust in Leigh and in the firm. She truly cares about her clients, and her knowledge is extensive. She is detailed, quick to respond to questions, and always has your best interest at heart.

Great Attorney!
Leigh is a fantastic attorney, and is very knowledgeable. I was appreciative of the staff's responsiveness. Family legal maters can be stressful, and they were very supportive and patient throughout the process.

The Best in Texas
At a time when all other law offices were closed the Vaught Law Firm, P.C. took the time to listen to my situation. Jimmy recommended Leigh de la Reza as my attorney. Leigh was the perfect choice. Rebecca McDonald is her paralegal and a pleasure to work with too. When you are going through a divorce it is an emotional time and to often you miss what others might clearly see. Even if you believe your spouse is honest or your best friend, please seek legal advice. Leigh was knowledgeable, ethical, compassionate and willing to work with me. She handled my case with patience and answered all of the silly questions I had. Cici at the front desk put up with my calling and asking the questions first. Rebecca puts her heart into her job and explained the law to me many times. Tracy who provides the billing is understanding and the sweetest person I have ever met. The benefits of hiring an attorney are every state has different family laws. In order to protect yourself, your children and your former spouse please hire a good attorney. It may be expensive up front but the long term gain and peace of mind is worth every penny. If you are going to hire an attorney, hire the best, Leigh at the Vaught Law Firm

Liegh De la Reza is the best choice I could have made!
Leigh de la Reza and her whole firm were the best choice I could have made. I had a very difficult (2 year) divorce case. I was truly amazed at the professionalism. Every detail over 2 long year was neatly organized and she made sure all was portrayed to the judge. I have already referred Leigh to two of my closest friends in need. I trust Leigh and will continue to use her for all my legal needs.

Family Law/Child Support
I am pleased to say that with the counsel of Leigh Vance De La Reza we were able to resolve a 15 years long child support case. Leigh registered my case in the proper county, filed contempt and enforcement and filed for retroactive child support --for the 13 years the bio-father evaded his legal obligation. Based on the legal guidance Leigh provided, the quantity of evidence collected over the years and information obtained in discovery, we won a retroactive judgement in court and the case is fully resolved with a stringent court order in place to receive monthly retroactive child support payments plus legal fees.

Useful divorce advice
I called her looking for a lawyer to assist me in pro se filing. She was willing to assist me but we spent 10-15 minutes discussing the issues. It turns out that I would gain very little. Fighting the divorce would just waste my money so I appreciate this type of help. I appreciate this kind of honesty.

Lawyer was good, law firm was unprofessional
A friend of the family recommended Vaught Law Firm – particularly Leigh de la Reza to me a few months ago. Like someone else mentioned, I was encouraged by their prompt response and information given by the staff. I was also encouraged at the consultation with Leigh. Here is my issue…I told Leigh upfront that I did not have much in resources and the person who referred her to me mentioned that she might be able to work pro bono. I made sure to ask as everyone knows, custody battles can be very costly, especially to a lower middle class mother of two. She mentioned at the end of the consultation that she would ask their office manager if she was able to work pro bono and get back to me. I never heard from her or her office manager for several months – which was okay since my situation was still at the “is this what I need to do” phase. However, recently I decided to go through with the case and called her office to see what the process entailed, if they had other payment options, or if the pro bono was even an option. At the time I was told I could put down a $7500 retainer fee or go contract with about $2500 upfront (this was from their office manager, I never actually spoke to Leigh again) or use one of their associates at a lower rate. I asked what the timing, process, payment schedule, ect of all this would entail and the office manager said she would speak with Leigh. After a week of waiting, still no communication. At this point I was beginning to suspect that they did not want to work with me, but I tried one more time and ended up talking to the office manager again. This time she said I was a financial risk and that going contract was not an option. I told her I was fine putting down the $2500 and she said my case was too complicated and costly and again I was a financial risk but she would talk to Leigh again. Obviously I still haven’t heard a word back. I don’t mind them thinking I’m a financial risk. What I don’t appreciate is not being told upfront that they did not want to work with me and instead leading me on thinking that this whole time I would have someone to help me and my children in this stressful emotional time. How can people in family law, especially when dealing with the well-being of children, think it’s okay to lead people like myself on, when they are going through enough stress in this kind of situation? If you have lots of money – I’m sure they must be great. If you indicate at all that you don’t, don’t let them give you the run around. Go find someone who truly can empathize with your situation and either tell you up front they can’t/won’t take your case and not waste your time or give you hope. Instead go find someone who is willing to stand up for you and your family and will be upfront about their intentions. After all, when parents/couples are going through a situation like this, wouldn’t it be nice to not have yet one more thing to worry/stress about?
