About Kelly
Biography
I have been working as a lawyer since 1989, and began my family law career in 1991 after leaving the Nueces County District Attorney's Office where I was a felony prosecutor. My philosophy is to help families obtain a fresh start, without creating irreparable harm. Specifically, I like to teach my clients about the law so they can be active and informed in their settlements. I know they will most likely have a relationship with their former spouse, especially where children are concerned. I know if everyone is participates and is in agreement with the outcome, there are fewer ackward moments after the divorce is final. Afterall, you don't stop being parents even when the kids turn 18. I know from personal experience as I am a mother (son born 1991) and step mother (daughter born 1991).
However, if my opposing counsel or opposing party throws the first punch, I am in full offense mode, ready to defend my clients and go to battle for them. I just prefer that to be the last resort, not the first.
I wrote a column in the society page of the Caller-Times for three years and am active in the community, most currently as a Clown Who Cares, volunteering at Driscoll Children's Hospital each month.

Slam Dunk VICTORY!!!!!
I have hired Mrs. Koch back on 2011 and we have a BIG Victory today 10-30- 2013. I highly recommend her to anyone that's going through any legal matters. Out of town but not out of touch
Kelly and her staff were very helpful and very accessible by phone and email due to me residing in Austin. She handled my custody case with the utmost professionalism and I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
