About Kelly
Biography
I have been working as a lawyer since 1989, and began my family law career in 1991 after leaving the Nueces County District Attorney's Office where I was a felony prosecutor. My philosophy is to help families obtain a fresh start, without creating irreparable harm. Specifically, I like to teach my clients about the law so they can be active and informed in their settlements. I know they will most likely have a relationship with their former spouse, especially where children are concerned. I know if everyone is participates and is in agreement with the outcome, there are fewer ackward moments after the divorce is final. Afterall, you don't stop being parents even when the kids turn 18. I know from personal experience as I am a mother (son born 1991) and step mother (daughter born 1991).
However, if my opposing counsel or opposing party throws the first punch, I am in full offense mode, ready to defend my clients and go to battle for them. I just prefer that to be the last resort, not the first.
I wrote a column in the society page of the Caller-Times for three years and am active in the community, most currently as a Clown Who Cares, volunteering at Driscoll Children's Hospital each month.

Child custody case
Even though I was freaking out about my case. She redirected me back to the important things when my mind seemed to wonder off. Especially when time was money. Everything I wanted she got for me. Money well spent!

Was very straight to the point and down to business. No playing around. Any time I had a question Kelly was quick to have an answer. Her assistant Loraine is fabulous as well! She would email me at work if needed be!
