Great attorney!

I filed for divorce and had a previous attorney helping me but I needed someone who was going to listen to me and help me through this stressful process. So I hired Mr. Amsberry and was the best decision I could have made. My case was very difficult as any divorce case becomes when involving one's ch...ildren and especially difficult for a father trying to win primary custody. Mr. Amsberry performance in court is impressive and he was able to truly help me with my case. During this year long battle he always kept me informed and always made himself available which is very important. Thank you Mr. Amsberry you rock!

Thanks for all of the help of him and his team.

Remarkable, Brilliant Attorney

Words cannot describe what a phenomenal attorney Russell Amsberry is. We retained his services for a custody matter which ended up turning into a hearing shortly after. Mr. Amsberry took the time to get caught up on a case that had been going on for over 10 years. He met with us in person several tim...es, responded to every message, and kept us informed of the process along the way. Mr. Amsberry brought so much knowledge and experience to our case, with almost 30 years of legal practice backing him, and an incredible amount of knowledge of the family law code. During our hearing, he was able to cite specific case law and exact codes that pertained to our matter. At the conclusion of our hearing, we received a favorable ruling. Everyone who listened to the hearing approached us after and complimented the work of Mr. Amsberry. It was apparent to everyone how prepared, intelligent, knowledgeable, well spoken, and respectful Mr. Amsberry is. He litigates with intelligence and maintained a good rapport with the judge the entire time. The best decision we made was hiring Mr. Amsberry.

I wish negative stars were an option

I had hired Mr. Amsberry in October, paid my retainer fee, filled out my paperwork, only to have NOTHING done, even after multiple attempts to get a status update on my case. When December rolled around I had wrote a letter stating my dissatisfaction with the case that hasn’t moved. He stated tha...t he would take care of it and later that night I received an e-mail with an attachment. Unfortunately, that paperwork had the wrong information in it and was obviously a cut and paste with other client information in it. I had mentioned it, returned it with corrections, and again it took more time to hear anything back. I had e-mailed the paralegal he had working for him multiple times asking about the status of my case, with Mr. Amsberry being CC’d, only to hear NOTHING back. I had called and left messages. I had sent messages through the portal. I had e-mailed. Only to have nothing returned. February rolled around and I had sent a certified letter stating my dissatisfaction and that I would be releasing him as my attorney and that I wanted my casefile, as well as my retainer fees, returned. NOTHING was filed with the courts until AFTER I released him, which means the clock for my case hadn’t even started up until that point. Mr. Amsberry only filed my case with the courts AFTER I released him as my attorney, and then continued to come up with random unnecessary charges. It was another 2 months until I received a digital copy of a case file, not the entire file that I had requested. As far as retainer fees, I received nothing. Mr. Amsberry wrote up an asinine summary of charges for work that was allegedly completed and even double charged. Mr. Amsberry threw his paralegal under the bus, instead of taking responsibility for his firm and his employees, stating it was his employee’s fault that my case hadn’t moved forward. When I made an attempt to go through mediation to come to an agreement for the retainer fees, he told the mediators that he would go and would call them back. He never did. They attempted to call him back, only for him to never respond or go forward. The mediation date came, Mr. Amsberry was a no show. Mr. Amsberry claimed that the retainer fees were used during that time for work that was allegedly done, even though nothing was done or moved forward, and if something was done, it was wrong or it took me to push for something to be done. The e-mails I received from Mr. Amsberry attacked me as a person and were very unprofessional and rude. His duty is supposed to be to his clients. He shoves them off to his team without checking up on his cases. He writes fraudulent invoices to make it seem like he’s done/doing more work than actually had been done. Mr. Amsberry did more harm than good to me, not only financially, but caused more emotional distraught in my life that I did not need, both from everything he had done and through the case he was supposed to be working. My divorce should have been finalized in about 3 months… After dealing with him, and nothing to do with my ex, it took me nearly a year because I had to come up with the retainer again and higher another attorney.

"I highly recommend Russell for his work in legal matters. I do not usually endorse fellow attorneys unless I have worked with them on a case. Russell gets to know the client's story, the facts and has forgotten more law than I will ever hope to know. Russell is also a graduate of the Trial Lawyer's College and you can not go wrong with Russell as your lawyer. Paul J. Smith"
