I would like to inform whomever is in need of a good lawyer with ethics, character and integrity. I was sent a letter from a certain electronics store informing me that I was being sued and, like anyone of us not familiar with court papers or the legal system, I was extremely worried and shocked to s...ay the least. I immediately sought out a lawyer who could guide me through this situation and found out that many lawyers are hesitant to accept cases where they will not profit significantly. After going through a minefield of advertisements for lawyers in the yellowbook I came across D.Michael Schafer's law office. He returned my call very shortly thereafter and immediately felt at ease and confident of his knowledge regarding these types of cases. I went to his office and he explained everything about my situation including my options without regard for whether I would choose him or go elsewhere. He seemed genuinely concerned with my case and I could tell from his demeanor and attentiveness that he showed a high degree of integrity. I could not have found a better lawyer for my money, which in all honesty wasn't much. Mr. Schafer was both professional and personable with my family and me without so much of a sign of greed or indifference as other lawyers we have contacted before. He provided the plan to winning the case and dealing with the underhanded and illegal tactics used by that company. Not only did that company settle out of court but I received a small settlement on top of having my credit restored. He has gone as far as taking phone calls from me, even with his busy schedule and given me advice regarding other legal matters where he had no interest. He recommended other lawyers that were versed in other areas of law when he could not himself help me. Mr. Schafer is an excellent lawyer but an even better human being who genuinely cares about others regardless of what he can get out of them. I knew Daniel through a business to business relationship for 2 years before I was in need of his area of expertise and there was no hesitation from whom I would seek assistance. The way he served his clients and the results he gained for them was something I had seen from him on a regular basis.
