Kenneth Ernest Grubbs

Grubbs (he works with his daughter), do not say this is NOT your client anymore to avoid TRUE and BAD review. (1)He said," just spend 2 hours to finish the document and the rest of retained will give back to you". He use this sentence to misleading us to retain him. (2) He promised some items NOT ...charged and then he charged (3) He would tell you, "your retainer used up, and still extra charge his client without agreement/without new retainer built", then you received and* Nerve-touch bill*. I do not know why Texas Bar allowed this practice? (4) Their attorney will call you can speak long long words to use up the retained hours. I am a victim of the above, I do NOT want you to experience the same. I was stressed out with this 2 persons. Please, save your money $5000, stay away! This is TRUE review! They deleted their google account review, probably because the review is very true enough... You do not need to response my review, because I do not want to be extra charged while you spend time on it. I wish you all the best but please think of your clients that they already in need in legal service that means they are headache at the moment, but you even gave them more severe headache. Remember, you are in "Helping Profession". But you probably forgot what conduct you should have. Then you would say, " You don't work for free, right"? I am tired of this kind of logic. I wished I have never trusted this person. Do research before you hire someone. Do not easily trust anyone even they are professionally licensed.

Attorney Kenneth Grubbs is the best...definitely knows Real Estate Law. I had already lost my home to my ex-wife due to her and her lawyer presenting false evidence to a court. I literally had to vacate my house and move out. I had gone for legal advice from other lawyers before exiting my home, all... four advised that I more than likely did not stand a chance of getting it back. About a month later I still felt cheated out of my home so I prayed to God and prayed some more. Next day I opened Google searching for Real Estate Attorneys, first one I see is Mr Kenneth Grubbs. I was given a appointment date and time to go go for a free consultation. I was so impressed with what this man explained to me, that I thanked God that this top notch Attorney and another Attorney that assisted him took my case and in no time at all, he found what other ATTORNEYS did NOT and today, I am back in my home. This Attorney is Super Intellectual, I highly recommend him and I will not lose his and the other Attorney that assisted contacts information. Thank you Mr Grubbs for getting me my house back, God bless you Sir!!

I have in the past received poor service but never have I ever felt the need to write a review. I feel so strongly about my experience with this attorney that I am taking the time to write this review. I cringe at even having to give one star. I can't help but notice all of Grubbs high ratings a...re from 2017 and 2018. This attorney and his office staff are the most unprofessional people I have ever delt with. I thought our biggest hurdle would be getting the opposing counsel to respond, boy was I wrong. Grubbs and his office staff are horribly slow which I feel strongly comprised our case. The only time action was taken on our case was because I would call the office and ask that they work what has been sitting on their desk for weeks. When they would act, opposing counsel would respond more timely than Grubbs would. I was once told that they had to advise all their clients about their new policy; if clients call for a status update on their cases they were going to start getting charged because they couldn't keep answering the phone for status updates. The fact that so many clients have to call for a status should indicate a problem with the attorney and his staff. It took over 3 weeks to resolve an issue with an incorrect billing (lack of response again on their part) and was only resolved after a very unprofessional conversation with Grubbs himself. All they/he had to do was look at the invoice and see there was a mistake on their part. I could provide many instances of unprofessionalism by him and his staff but I think Grubbs calling someone on one of these reviews a "coward" speaks for itself. He also omitted things we had asked him to include in a counteroffer because he hurriedly sent his response after a call from me. He also sent, while I was on the phone with him an email to opposing counsel that was also unprofessional and inarticulate because I again called him and asked him to respond to opposing counsel. I've had to resend him email that he apparently never looked at after over 5 weeks. He is seldom available because he is always "preparing for court" according to his staff. One time I even requested a meeting with him at our expense because we could not get him to respond, his staff conveyed to us that he said "there is no reason to meet, either file suit or accept their offer" with no opportunities to ask questions. He told us in our consult that we will get an invoice but we do not need to pay it because he will include his fees in what he requests from opposing counsel but he refused to send a letter to opposing counsel until we paid the invoice (the invoice that was incorrect). Best thing we ever did was to stop using him as an attorney. Once we removed him, he was no longer an obstacle between us and opposing counsel. We have made more progress in the 3 weeks since we have stopped working with Grubbs than in the 11 months since Grubbs was retained.

Hired this attorney for child custody case. after the hearing, we were provided with a handwritten order, but that was the extent of the actions taken. We were told it would have taken about a week or so to get the orders typed up, and here we are right at a month later and NOTHING has been done. cha...rges to have the secretaries speak with you and repeatedly say the attorney will call, and never receive a return call. Shows up late for court, and then charges for the time he was out of the courtroom for my case and in another courtroom with another case. When i requested my file, copies were made, and it included paperwork and court documents FROM SOMEONE ELSES FILE, and not all my file. i only received documents that I myself provided and another families paperwork. Definitely not something i would have expected. Great attorney, but definitely did not have my child's welfare and safety as a concern.
