In addition, she was the county’s principal juvenile attorney in cases ranging from class B misdemeanors to first degree felonies. She holds a law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from The University of Texas at Austin.
Marilee has argued cases before the Sixth Court of Appeals, including a nationally debated case in which her prosecution was argued and upheld at the Texas Supreme Court. In her appellate practice she has also represented clients before the Third and Thirteenth Courts of Appeal in Texas. Her writings on DWI law and evidence have been published in the Texas District and County Attorneys Association magazine. Her writings on business torts have been published in the Texas State Bar's Business Litigation Journal. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Comal County Bar Association. Marilee has won jury trials for her clients in matters ranging from grandparent custody to personal injury premises liabilty.
