Stacey Holley Valdez is a mother, a former nurse, and an experienced attorney who makes sure that each one of her clients gets the kind of quality legal representation they deserve. Ms. Valdez is known throughout South Texas as a tough, no nonsense litigator who is as fearless in the courtroom as she is in every aspect of her practice. She has extensive experience in the legal areas of family, juvenile, criminal, and appellate law with victories in each type of case and in numerous courts in the Greater Houston area. Educated at South Texas College of Law, Ms. Valdez graduated among the top twenty percent of her class.
Houston's first established law school; South Texas College of Law is nationally ranked by US News and World Report as one of the top ten law schools specializing in Trial Advocacy. As a top graduate of this nationally known school Ms. Valdez had the opportunity to hone her litigation skills under the tutelage of South Texas' top notch clinical professors. Now, Ms. Valdez, after her own years of experience as a trial attorney, is herself helping to guide the careers of the next generation of up and coming Houston trial attorneys.
Prior to attending law school Ms. Valdez, served as a nurse in a variety of demanding positions. This included time as a nurse in maximum security area of the Texas Department of Corrections, the Travis County Sherriff's Department, and in Emergency Room Medicine. These high pressure, and extremely intense working environments, when coupled with dealing with oftentimes dangerous suspected criminals and inmates required Ms. Valdez to think and act both quickly and decisively. Traits such as these carry over into her legal practice and help Ms. Valdez adapt to the constant ebb and flow of complex trial situations.
In addition to being one of the principal partners in one of the Texas Gulf Coast's most respected law partnerships, Laird Valdez, LLP, Ms. Valdez is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Galveston County Bar Association, and the College of the State Bar. Ms. Valdez remains active in the local legal community despite a busy and demanding work schedule. Her commitment to service extends beyond her own clients to ensuring that the quality of the legal representation in the Houston area is one of the nation's highest.
Whether you are in need of civil, criminal, or family legal counsel Stacey Valdez is ready and able to provide you or your family with the best professional legal services that Houston has to offer. At Laird Valdez, LLP we solve problems, and Stacey Valdez is just the attorney to solve yours.

Poor communication and no legal help
Had to constantly contact them to learn about the status of my case, since the court kept postponing and every time would just talk with a paralegal, not the lawyer, but still get charged. I understand that due to the current situation it is difficult to predict the court schedule but would at least...

Not worth it
Did not contact me until court day, despite several attempts to contact her, only left talking with a machine and her secretary. So she was not prepared at all for what I wanted or the evidence that I had. In short, I was left without much choice but to agree on bad terms or else have to pay again ...

Poor communication, no final billing statement
I was a Cliant, we met before trial and I was assured that it was going to be easy. It was questioned why I even wanted to meet before hand. At trial simple questions could not be answered due to lack of preparation.
This anonymous review is not one of my former clients. The information posted is inconsistent with any current or past clients. I believe this is from an opposing client who lost against my firm in trial in October. Sour grapes.

Bad communication, very rude!.
When we first went to the consultation she talked a good game, after we paid her, their communication was horrible, hard to get a hold of, the paralegals are absolutely RUDE, worst costumer service ever, there's many other good lawyers in the area, save your money!!.
It is difficult to understand why a consumer of any product would choose to denigrate a vendor anonymously, based on the supposed rudeness of the staff, rather than go directly to a supervisor and address the issue. I have an associate attorney, an "of counsel" attorney, a research attorney, 2 paralegals and a legal assistant. About whom does this write speak? One could only guess. But logically speaking, if one pays for a service and is unhappy with the communication of the staff, why would they post an anonymous review rather than seek to achieve the benefit for which they bargained? This doesn't make sense. Or, as they say in Texas, "that dog don't hunt".

Incompetent Money Hungry
She never kept me up to date with what was going on with my custody suit. I was not provided copies of documents after she filed them or told that they had been filed. Her office was disorganized and I could never reach her once I gave her money. She does not keep up your case but scurries to work...
