Stephen Edward Dennis

Hired Mr. Dennis in 2011 for a DWI and again in 2017 for a criminal matter. He was impressive from our first meeting. He is very knowledgeable, not only about the law, but also about Montgomery & Harris County district attorneys and their processing. Mr. Dennis has always been available in a timely ...manner, responded to all emails and phone calls. All of our legal proceedings have had the best possible outcome because of his due diligence & negotiations. I highly recommend him.

I was arrested for assault (class a because I slapped a douchebag I was dating across the face once)...I called Steve after receiving random mail from different lawyers. With limited information or knowledge about my case, he already knew how he’d proceed, telling me that the “victim” probably deserv...ed to be slapped. (He did!). You can tell by talking to him within a few minutes that he is extremely smart, knows what he is doing, experienced, honest, and truly wants to help. During that conversation he also told me I needed to report to bond probation (which I hadn’t been doing and this was 2 weeks after my release). He advised me on how to proceed, not to drink and what to say when I showed up 3 days later, already in violation of conditions of my release. The next day I knew I needed to hire someone and it had to be Steve. I trusted him with all my heart! The day after hiring him, he had my police report and went to the judge and the prosecutor who all agreed to waive my conditions of bond. I never had to report to a bond probation offer, and even though I had already violated my bond by not doing so for 2 wks, never had to comply with any restrictions imposed by the court. By our first court date, he had already made a deal with the DA to dismiss the case in exchange for 8 hours anger management and 12 hours community service. When I was running out of time to complete the 12 hours community service before our next court date, Steve talked the prosecutor down to 6 hours community service. When I was down to the wire, less than a week before what would be my first appearance in court, and still hadn’t finished community service (not a single hour), Steve got the DA to dismiss the case based on anger management alone. My case was dismissed within 2 months, only 8 hours anger management, and I never So much as walked inside a court house. By the time my first court date came around, Steve had already taken care of me, and the case was dismissed, despite not completing all the necessary terms and hours that were part of the agreement. He is seriously the best and anyone in trouble needs to at least call him for a free consultation (which he is nice enough to take the time to do). I promise you will not be disappointed! It was the most stressful experience I have ever been through, and I trusted Steve (still do) with my life! Knowing I had Steve gave me so much peace. I have referred other people to him and everyone has been amazed by what he can do! Steve is so smart and experienced, and clearly knows what he is doing. I would hate to see anyone go up against him in court! I can not recommend him enough!

I hired Steve to assist me in obtaining an occupational license. He made the process extremely easy and stress free. When I met with him, he not only took the time to explain the process for my license, but answered all of the questions I had regarding the case that resulted in my license suspension ...(questions the attorney who handled that case would not answer). Steve is extremely knowledgable, professional, and great at what he does. He goes above and beyond to help his clients. I would HIGHLY recommend him to any person needing legal aid.

Steve and Ashley are proactive and always kept me informed as to what was going on and my best options. Always friendly and polite making me f]eel comfortable with what was going on. If you need a criminal defense attorney, Steve is simply the best and his legal assistant Ashley always goes the ext...ra mile and is extremely knowledgeable. I had a DWI charge and before I even hired Steve, he and Ashley called multiple times and went thru the process in great detail. During this difficult and embarrassing time, they always put me at ease and took care of my case. In the end they gave me my options and were able to work out an outstanding and fair plea agreement. I was the victim of identity theft which is a real pain in several areas. I contacted Steve and he found out that there was a warrant for my arrest for check fraud! I hadn't even written those checks! He got it all dismissed for me very quickly and even gave me some free advice on how to handle many ...of the other issues that I was facing. Thanks Steve!
