Practice areas
Traffic offenses, many alcohol-related cases, and drug paraphernalia cases are Class “C” misdemeanors, which are the lowest level criminal offenses in Texas. However, there could be very serious consequences if you walk into court and take whatever the prosecutor is offering you. The prosecutor is not your attorney, he’s not your friend, and you don’t want him telling you what he thinks you should do.
There are a number of charges that are common to our area, such as Assault, DWI, Drug Possession, and Theft. These charges can have both immediate and long-lasting consequences including the possibility of jail time, fines, and the loss of your reputation and rights.
A DWI charge brings with it huge problems: Heavy fines from the county and state, lengthy and difficult probation sentences and/or jail time, surcharges, license suspensions, and more.
It is possible in many situations to have your criminal record cleaned up. There are two basic methods available: Expunction and Non-Disclosure. Each method does different things to your record and is available only in certain scenarios.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
When I was a prosecutor with the Montgomery County DA's Office, I regularly interacted with Casey Loring as opposing counsel. He's a tremendously knowledgeable and conscientious attorney who always looks out for his clients. I found him to be a worthy adversary and someone I respect. Now that I'm in private practice, I routinely refer cases to him because I know he will do a great job.

Casey is a good guy and a good lawyer. He knows his stuff. When I was a prosecutor I knew anytime I had a quick question about law in the courtroom he would know it off the top of his head.
