I had a complicated divorce that included a special needs child turning 18 during the divorce. Hence, there was a separate guardianship action taking place while the divorce was pending. The divorce caught me off guard, I was abruptly kicked out of my house after the temp orders hearing and my wife w...ho has a history of substance abuse and a long history of mental health issues was allowed to stay. She also had previously left the family and has had two stints in detox clinics. I believe the results of the temp orders hearing was the because the petitioners side spent a lot of time preparing and they stated a bunch of unsubstantiated half truths that were not fully rebuttalled and addressed. I felt I had to defend myself during the hearing because my lawyer was unprepared and just winging it. My divorce cas was in a quagmire and not progressing at all. I originally hired Kathyrn to help me with the guardianship issues. When I saw how fast Kathyrn acted on the guardianship and found out she handles family law also, I decided to consolidate and have her represent me for both cases. She tackled the divorce case and kept me focused on what is important to close it out. It feels like a ton of bricks have been lifted from my shoulders. I highly recomend Kathyrn.
