NOT A GOOD LAWYER
I was reffered to her by a friend last year and in the beginning she was very pleasent and helpful in answering my questions. once i retained her as my lawyer she became really rude and condescending every time i would ask questions related to my case.
Hello, first of all I would not be answering questions related to your case on an ongoing basis unless I was retained. So to say I was nice in the beginning and rude after you hired me is an unfair description. Also to say someone is rude is a subjective standard based on one person's opinion. We always answer client questions and walk them through the process. We also have a 24 hour return call policy. If you are a real client then post your name or contact the office so that your concerns may be addressed. I do not know who you are and have never had any such complaint from a client. It's unfortunate that anyone can come online and hide behind a keyboard to try to destroy someone's professional reputation that they have worked 18 years to build. In any event I hope all is well and you and hope you and your family are safe. Best regards.

didn't see How I was helped
I hired ms okoh to help keep or bring my husband back if and when he got deported He was in immagration jail and in his 4 months having her as a lawyer she did not go talk to him about what to expect in his court hearing.... sure enough he got deported and she got all money we owed her before his ...
ANYONE READING THIS REVIEW PLEASE BE ADVISED THE INFO IS NOT ACCURATE. This person Ms. Nunyo hired me to take over this case after it was grossly mishandled by another lawyer. Her husband had a bond and violated the terms and was detained again by immigration. He had two drug convictions and was ordered removed by the judge because his I-130 that the other attorney had filed was not approved. She told me the I-130 had been approved when it fact it was not and that was the basis for us to try to keep him here. This case was a mess before I became involved. Furthermore, I spoke with her husband twice to prepare him for court. It is unfortunate that Ms. Nunyo thinks that a lawyer should go visit every day as that is impossible and we would not get any work done. We kept her updated every step of the way and she was informed that she could not just call the office and speak to me whenever she wanted because I have a calendar that I go by. Anytime a client wants to talk to me all they have to do is set an phone appointment and they talk to me at that date and time. If lawyers sat and answered phones all day the important work could not be done. There was never one time she requested to speak to me that she was denied but if she called without an appointment then I was busy or in court, that is how lawyers work So of course she spoke to my assistant because that is what my assistant is for to handle phone calls Ms. Nunyo never asked a question that went unanswered. My office has a 24 hour policy to respond to all inquiries/phone calls/messages. Finally, she was told there would be NO additional charge to handle the next case to try to bring her husband back. So it is a LIE that she was going to be charged anything else. I did not have to do this because my fees were earned but I always want to do right by my cleints. In this kind of case we have to show extreme hardship to the u.s. citizen spouse to get the person back and the psychiatrist report is used to establish emotional and psychological hardship, so paying the psychiatrist was necessary and the psychiatrist was not going to court as she believes. the report will be used in the case to bring him back. Ms. Nunyo will be seeing me in court soon. I am a skilled and highly educated lawyer with FOUR degrees and attended one of the nations top law schools, have 13 years outstanding experience as an immigration lawyer in every area of immigation which is very rare. I take on and win impossible cases and every now and again you get a person like this who does not understand the process despite it being explained several times. That is understandable because of the stress of the situation but ask more questions and do not slander a person's name and profession without proof of the truthfulness of what is being said and this is why I must take this person to court at this point because I am not perfect but I do my job well and have hundreds of satisfied clients to show for it. The errors made in this case before I took over could not be corrected but I was going to fight hard to bring him back but we never heard from Ms. Nunyo again to start the next case and were still waiting for the I-130 to be approved which we could not do anything else until that happened. She should be mad at the lawyer that created this mess and at her husband who didn't care enough about his family to not go out and commit another crime while out on immigration bond, not at the lawyer who was trying to help her and fix this mess. To the readers of this review, you will have to know this person to understand how false the review it and that is all I will say on this matter.
"I endorse this lawyer. Ms. Okoh-Brown is one of the most conscientious attorneys I have dealt with. She really cares about her clients and making sure they are taken care of. A very competent attorney. I normally do not endorse attorneys but this is one I highly recommend."
"It is an honor to endorse Lisa. I worked with Lisa on a criminal defense case wherein my client faced deportation issues if he had accepted a plea. Lisa armed me with the specialized immigration knowledge I needed to provide my client with the tools he needed to make a fully informed decision. We went forward, fought the case and won. Lisa is THE attorney to talk to if you have an immigration issue at hand."
"Lisa is a very conscientious and a very knowledgeable asset to the industry. She is very detailed and extremely patient. She also happens to be very professional who improves the industry by her actions to fellow attorneys and to those who need help with their legal matters."
"I endorse this lawyer. Attorney Okoh-Brown has a wonderful reputation as a zealous advocate for her clients and is a credit to the legal profession."
