Lisa Potter is nothing short of an extraordinary attorney. I hired her firm right before Christmas through a third party company. My ex had been keeping my children away from me for the entire year. Her firm quickly filed a writ of habeas and got me in front of the court in record time. I walked out ...of court with my children that day and was able to spend time with them for the first time in a year. Not only that my kids were upset obviously because their mom had been filling their head with nonsense and so they were teary-eyed when their mother left them at the courthouse. Lisa didn't have to do this but she came in the room with me and my children and she spent about a half an hour talking to them and calming them down and interacting and laughing with them. They really enjoyed her and interacted well with her. She definitely has a heart and passion for children. By the time we left they were happy and excited to go get breakfast with me. I will never forget what she did. In addition, she is now pursuing an enforcement case for me because Mom has violated the order so long and she is doing it free of charge. I read some of these reviews about her being money hungry. That is not my experience. I don't know too many attorneys that provide services at no additional cost. Also, since I came to her through the third party, it is the third party that charged me and set the fees for me, not her. If you're looking for an attorney who is going to fight for you and move your case along quickly, I would highly recommend that you hire her and her staff. Her staff was very responsive and have kept me updated at every step in the process. Give her a shot and then you make your own judgment about her as an attorney and as an individual. It would take me 10 pages to write about Lisa Potter and all that she has done for me. In my case. My case has been very complicated. I have been fighting for custody of my daughter after her father took her away from me and brought false charges of assault against me. So I was fighting a criminal ca...se as well as in family court with Lisa Porter fighting for my daughter. I hired Lisa through a third party company and then I was unable to afford to continue paying their fees. The company advised her to drop my case because I was not able to pay but Lisa refused and told me she would continue to represent me free of charge. Understand she is in Houston and I am in Fort Worth. She has flown at her own expense to represent me in court no less than 12 times already. She has filed multiple motions and she has gotten me access to my daughter again. Originally dad was given full custody and I was not given any visitation except under supervision. Today I have 50/50 custody. Also, for my criminal case, she worked with my criminal attorneys and spent about 40 hours helping them prepare my case, giving them all of the evidence from our family law case to help defeat the criminal charge. It was because of a hearing that she had in family court where she showed a major witness in the criminal case was lying that my criminal attorney was able to use the transcript from the family court case where Lisa was so brilliant to show the jury in the criminal trial that this witness was unreliable and telling lies. Not only that, Lisa took time off from her busy schedule to fly to Fort Worth the day of my criminal trial to sit in and support me. I don't know any attorney who would do what she has done for me. She has the biggest heart I have ever seen and she definitely has a very soft spot for single mothers because she told me she was raised by a single mother. There is nothing I can do to thank her for all that she has done for me. I was blessed to have come across her and I will forever be grateful to all that she has done for me and my daughter. She is such a fighter and she is so passionate about what she does and that is why she goes above and beyond for her clients. Her staff is also great and they keep you posted and updated every step of the way. If you want an aggressive attorney who is also passionate but is going to keep it real with you and tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear. She's definitely the attorney you should hire and I cannot recommender highly enough.

I highly recommend hiring Ms. Okoh-Brown as your attorney. This is the second time of me having her represent me. From beginning to end, I couldn’t have asked for a better attorney. Legal Warrior. those are the two words I would use to describe Lisa Okoh-Brown. I cannot thank her enough for getting me my son after a few years of him being kept from me by his dad and dad's family. We went into court in Parker county and his grandma lied and said she didn't know where he was. ...3 weeks later CPS in another state had my child and he had been abused by dad. Lisa got involved and worked with the D.A. and CPS in another state to help them understand Texas law and to not do anything to hurt our case in TX. She was not hired to do this but she really cares about her clients and won't leave you hanging. She then filed a petition back in Texas court which allowed the other state to close out their case. We showed up last week and now I have sole custody and dad is barred from all access. She was tireless in her efforts. She is super responsive. Most law firms you only deal with the paralegals but not here. You pay for an attorney you get an attorney. Just understand she is a straight shooter and is going to tell you what you need to hear. Sometimes you may not like it but just know she is working for your good and will fight for you and your children until the end. If you just trust her and do what she says, you are going to get the results you want. I wish I could give her 100 stars! She deserves it! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart Lisa!!
