Denise Guajardo Khoury

Kind of long, but worth the read... I consulted with Denise about a year ago to help me figure out a mess of problems I was facing with the AG. One of which, my prior attorney made a wording error on a Termination order and they wouldn't accept it. Unfortunately, I opted to go back to my old attorne...y to have them clean up their mistake, thinking it would be cheaper and that they would stand behind their work. I was wrong. Denise sent me a heart-felt, handwritten letter, expressing compassion and empathy for my situation. It meant a lot to me that someone else understood the mess I was in and recognized it wasn't my fault. I regret not having hired her then to help fix my mess. I truly believe Denise would have been less expensive in the long run, negotiated better outcomes for me and gotten the messes cleaned up faster. Recently I hired Denise to help me with another, more serious problem. I made a mistake and it blew up. (Nothing twisted, my ex was just really wound up.) I needed an honest assessment and compassion to help figure out what to do. On our consultation call she contacted the other attorney and was able to negotiate a reasonable agreement getting me access to my kids very quickly. I hired Denise, because she is compassionate and a calming force on me and my case. (The angrier you and your ex are, the more you're going to spend and the longer it's going to take to get to an equitable resolution.) In a short time, she was able to get me access to my kids and keep me out of court. I know I made the right choice in hiring Denise and will continue to use her anytime something comes up. My only regret is not having known her 8 years ago when my ex and I parted ways. Denise and her team are a blessing and you would be lucky to have them by your side.

A friend recommended Denise when I was served with divorce papers. I consulted with another attorney and then met with Denise mostly to be able to tell my friend I had met her and I am glad I did. The difference in attitude was striking. If you have read the other reviews here you will know about the... concern and care that she and the team bring to the table. However, as much as I appreciated the attitude what has impressed me is 'character'. If you are like me you have heard hundreds of lawyer jokes. The jokes may be true of many in the profession but not Denise or her team. On two occasions Denise went out of her way to save me money. Once I wanted a consult but Denise gently asked me if there was anything that really needed an office visit, when I thought about it - the answer was 'No'. I truly appreciated the honesty and integrity, because that was a fee she did not get to bill. Denise did an excellent joy of walking me through the divorce process listening to my concerns about the outcome and helping make that a reality. I highly recommend the firm.

I had just relocated to another state but was filing for divorce. I wasn't sure what actions to take as I would have to go through this process remotely and alone. I came into town to consult with a few other firms but had always left not feeling 100% confident...until I met with Denise. Not only was... she extremely generous with her time by listening to my entire situation during our consultation, but she was also very interested in hearing what my needs were. I left that day feeling reassured with the process. I was guided through every step from the beginning and felt very comfortable knowing I would be able to go through this process from another state. Throughout the case, I was very fortunate to work with Teresa and Gabby as well who never missed a beat in keeping me updated and informed on all matters. I felt that I finally had plenty of options and was advised with most high quality honesty, knowledge, and professionalism. My biggest takeaway from this wonderful team is the personal kindness they outpoured. I felt that I was more than a client, I was supported as a friend. They definitely cared about understanding my needs and opinions and it was a bittersweet ending to my case as I really enjoyed working with these wonderful women! Fast forward through the pandemic, I am currently walking away from my finalized divorce feeling content, empowered, and confident. It might be odd to say, but if there is anyone that can turn an unfortunate life event such as a divorce into a positive experience, it's this team. Thank you so much to Denise and the team. I cannot say enough!

I want to thank the Guajardo law firm! Denise, Gabi and Theresa were just phenominal just from the day 1! They are very compassionate and will work with you and advice you the best.
