Denise Guajardo Khoury

Firm co-founder, Denise Khoury, is a skilled family law attorney with over two decades of experience in handling Texas, interstate, and international family law and divorce cases Ms. Khoury is bilingual - comfortable explaing the divorce and custody process to clients whose primary language is English or Spanish. A certified and experienced mediator, and experienced Parenting Coordinator and Amicus Attorney advocating for children's rights, she firmly believes that a final order based on an agreed settlement has a greater chance of long-term success than one determined by a judge or jury. She is also a strong proponent of parties resolving their issues through the Collaborative Law process; a successful form of Alternative Dispute Resolution, which focuses on handling sensitive family law matters in a private, custom way outside of the standard, public courthouse experience. Regardless, Ms. Khoury's experience in litigation ensures that for those cases where court involvement is unavoidable, like those involving abuse or circumstances where serious mental health struggles impact family relationships, clients know they can entrust their matter to her capable hands with confidence, knowing she will advocate with strength and compassion. 

Prior to graduating from South Texas College of Law in downtown Houston, Texas, Ms. Khoury attended the University of St. Thomas where she graduated with a B.A. in International Studies and Business, with an emphasis in cultural and religious studies. Ms. Khoury is a native Houstonian with long-lasting friendships that originated from her elementary, middle school, and high school years at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart. Ms. Khoury has extended family in Latin America and the Middle East.
