Ineffective At Best

We spent over $10,000 with Cynthia for very little results. My review is much like the one below. Her staff was not competent. I can't even remember how many errors were made from the way my case was handled and negotiated to grammar and spelling issues in legal documents that I had to point out, ult...imately costing me more money. I received multiple phone calls requesting documents and information that had been previously received. I had to call them several times to make sure I was receiving correct information, when multiple people would tell or send me different things. Time and money were spent doing things that were ineffective, while the other party continued to ignore deadlines and requests. Cynthia was not aggressive in mediation. There were times when she gave me advice to do things that not only went against my own best interest but benefited the other party. The mediator she chose, who we paid hundreds of dollars to on top of our normal legal fees, had not read over my case and didn’t bother to read the declaration we spent hours (and $1,000) on. I spoke to another lawyer today who read over the agreed temporary orders and asked why I agreed to them. I told her my attorney advised me that this would be better than the judge would be willing to give me. She was stunned. I was very disappointed in the service provided. Please don't make the same mistake.

Not worth the money

I hired Cynthia Tracy after being taken back to court by my ex for custody and I regret hiring her. First, I'd like to say she is expensive, I spent about $20,000 and we didn't even go to court. When I asked her about predicting costs, on more than one occasion, she would say that there was absolutel...y no way of knowing and just to the look at the fees she charges. When I complained about how much the bill was, she looked into it and had overcharged me by over $1000.00. She did reverse the charges. In the beginning when I was turning in the paperwork and financials, I felt like I was getting a lot of unnecessary phone calls, for which they bill. On at least three occasions I was asked for paperwork that I had already turned in. Many phone calls were to "review" what I had turned in and seemed useless, not really giving them any new information. Most importantly, I feel that she did not give me any guidance or advice when making decisions. There was no real preparation for going into mediation, except for financials. She didn't even read my response I had written for court. If you don't know what a response is, it is my story in detail about how I got there. I would talk to her about things during mediation and she didn't even know what I was talking about. She was looking things up and doing her research right there in front of me. Also during mediation, the mediator that she picked, responded to me with it wasn't her fault, your the one that had sex with that guy and had kids (paraphrasing). I feel she should have prepared me better for mediation by telling me what questions or problems to anticipate. After I told her that I couldn't afford to go to court over this, she just pushed for me to settle, not interested in any negotiating. Overall, a horrible experience.

Over Bills

I would not recommend her and her family. She over bills and when I asked about the negative reviews she answered it was just an upset client. Later did I know why they were upset after hiring another attorney my case was settled quickly and much more cost effective than the thousands that her firm c...harged. Read all her reviews first then decide.

She is the best in the area

Attorney Tracy was excellent in every area. She had demands on me that stressed me but when I provided her with the information she needed she shinned as bright as a star. In and out of the court room. She made no promises but brought every lie that could be exposed to light. I absolute adore her... and her staff. They push hard for me to turn in everything that was required but she was able to far exceed anything I expected. SHe did nothing underhanded and would not allow me to even if I wanted. She kept my reasonable number one objective as her number one objective. I recommend her to anyone and everyone. They worked long hours on my case and were extremely fair in billing me. She is my number one choice and number two choice to represent me. Attorney Tracy and her staff still help me with questions and referrals for other legal services.

Exemplary Law Practice

Cynthia Tracy was the fourth family lawyer/practice that I have used since 2004. I have to say that this relationship has been extremely beneficial to my case in all court proceeding and have always led to favorable judgments and outcomes in all matters. The staff has been extremely professional an...d Cynthia never made excuses for anyone and dealt with matters accordingly. Her practice is based in Clear Lake and while I live in the Spring / The Woodlands area she always made it easy to hold meetings whether in person or via conference calls. The staff, including another attorney working my case was very attentive and worked to explain matters in detail. I was very satisfied and happy to have hired them. There is an old adage that you get what you pay for and when it comes to hiring the best, most qualified and well-respected practice it is money well spent. She will not sugarcoat anything to you and will give you advice and recommendations even if it’s not want you want to hear. That’s something that you can truly appreciate – someone that is frank with you. If you are ever have to go to court in from of a judge, Cynthia's interaction with the judge and opposing counsel will flat-out impress you. I have seen many and I do mean many interactions and she is defiantly the J.J. Watt of attorneys. My case is closing for now but if I have to go back for any enforcement issues you better believe I would hire her again and would recommend anyone needing her expertise.
