Tristan My Attorney Angel

My divorce was final in Feb. 2016. Yes, I am late posting; but, I felt I needed to let the world know what a great attorney Tristan is. Not only was he always looking out for my best interest, he also listened to what I was asking for and he knew better than I did what I needed. He tends to stand ...back from the situation and does not get emotionally involved no matter what his client is dealing with or going through. This divorce process was new to me and I did not know what to expect. I honestly did not have a good opinion of lawyers from the beginning. I felt alone and scared through this process but I did not have to worry with Tristan as my attorney. He always had my back. He even worked to get the opposing council to settle matters. They kept dragging their feet and prolonging the case. He made it clear that he did not respect this and was opposed to other attorneys dragging things out for financial gain. If you want an attorney who does not play games, who knows his job and does it well, who looks out for your best interest, who aims to get it done quickly and at the lowest expense for you, then Tristan is your guy. He does not get emotionally involved with the situation so he can maintain an objective view. This is what I really appreciate. Someone looking in from the outside with an objective view and who also looks out for your best interest and the child's/children's best interest. I really respect him and am thankful I hired him to be my attorney. Tristan led me out of a regrettable situation and helped me regain my freedom. Hindsight I may have taken some precautions that he suggested early on that I didn't think were necessary. So if he offers you some suggestions or guidance, take it. He sees these cases on a regular basis and he knows what to possibly expect, even if you don't think your soon to be ex would do what Tristan cautions you of, or what the situation may turn into. He is there to offer you guidance on how to protect yourself no matter how insignificant the situation may seem. He is looking out for you and that is what you are paying him for. Trust him. He is worth every penny. Tristan - is the good guy and a GREAT ATTORNEY. Thank you Tristan for everything. Sorry my review took so long. My life has seen several changes since my divorce became final, BIG and small. I wanted to make sure I did you justice in my review. I have written this a couple of times to get it right. I definitely still don't think I did. You were my Guardian Angel in the midst of a storm and I thank you and your office for everything. I will continue to refer you to anyone who is needing assistance or guidance. Thank you!!

Above and beyond the five stars rating

Tristan handled my child custody modification case and he absolutely did a wonderful job restoring my standard possession order. I wish if I knew Tristan at the beginning of my divorce case, I would have saved myself from all the headaches and difficulties that I went through with other attorneys if... they deserve the title. Tristan and members of Skillern law firm provided me with top quality legal representation and service. Tristan kept me informed, answered my calls and emails promptly, and he paid close attention to every detail in my case. Tristan is truly amazing both in person and in the court room. I can’t thank him enough for protecting my rights and most importantly my daughter’s rights. His hard, honest work proved to the court that my ex-wife was in contempt. If you are looking for excellent legal advice and excellent legal work done, see Tristan.

Professional, Honest, and Personable

Tristan represented me exceptionally in my divorce case. Tristan was honest in all aspects and never just told me what I wanted to hear. He was honest, upfront, fair, very mature and very professional in guiding me through all of my issues and situations throughout the process. Also I felt an imme...nse amount of fair and excellent support from the Skillern law firm team as a whole. Tristan and Matt Skillern both helped me see through the issues that clouded the true and important issues with my case in an utmost respectable, fair, and level headed manner. Tristan is excellent, and on an excellent team.

Clark Kent of Divorce Attorneys

I rolled into the Skillern Law Firm like a compass-less Tasmanian devil, and from the moment the front desk greeted me reassuringly and served me (calming?) tea—I had an inkling that my day just might get better. I had worked with several attorneys to assist my (now ex-)husband with his custody and c...hild support issues from another marriage, and let’s just say that I was wary. I have to say that the Skillern office was a far cry to the experiences I had elsewhere—here, everyone was very organized, unfailingly polite, and mindful of my time. Now to Tristan Longino in particular: meeting him was also a pleasant surprise since I was overwhelmed with so many questions in my head and feared I might have to justify why I wanted to pursue a divorce. When you’ve made the most difficult decision of your life and been racked with insomnia wondering how things will work out, the best thing you can hear from your divorce attorney is the simple question (delivered with warm, sincere smile), “So, what brought you here today…?” and a pen casually being opened to take notes as he gives you the arena. (And notes he did take as he proceeded to run through all the preliminary questions about how to protect my interests!) Unlike other attorneys, Tristan never cut me short when I was trying to bring up any of my concerns or clarifying questions; in fact, like another reviewer noted, I came armed with a list of questions and was shocked that we got through them all with detailed responses. He left no stone unturned, and I can say that I felt truly educated in the first half hour alone. After peppering him with quite a few “what if” scenarios and receiving a calm, sensible answer for each one, I finally started to relax and realize that I had found competent guidance at last. Tristan was extremely thorough, diligent and above all, reassuring—without being a charlatan, creep or cliché. He was a genuinely kind attorney working on my behalf, informing me every step of the way and making great catches that I failed to consider as I waffled between being too nice and having a spine. He always made sure I understood our strategy and that every legal move was completely fair and without malice. Although I am really glad that it went fairly amicably as far as divorces go, I am a little sorry that I didn’t get to see Tristan argue in court since it became unnecessary and was finalized without opposition. When I got a brief demonstration of how he would argue on my behalf after answering one of my many “what if” scenarios, I got a totally different glimpse of the “nice guy”—it left me with no doubt that he is a highly skilled litigator, who is a force to be reckoned with and would leave no opportunity for a negative outcome. Exactly the kind representing you if you want to avert disaster. Without a doubt, I would recommend him to anyone needing a hard-working and ethical divorce attorney.

Professional, thorough, and personable

I approached the Skillern Law Firm for assistance with drafting my prenuptial agreement, and Tristan was able to schedule an appointment with me on short notice and assure me that he would be able to draft the document and have the opposing lawyer agree (my fiancee and I were in agreement already) wi...thin the timeframe needed for our wedding. After sending my initial information to him we were able to draft the document during our first consultation in less than 2 hours, and resolve any minor differences with the opposing counsel within 3-4 emails. Throughout the process Tristan was very easy to talk to, and explained not only what the document stated but any possible clauses I may not have thought of in a way that was precise but also related to my personal situation. At the end of the process I felt that he clearly understood my situation and what I was trying to achieve, and that I clearly understood what the document drafted would work. This is everything I would request of an attorney in this capacity, and I felt very comfortable with Tristan's assistance throughout. I highly recommend him for anyone who has similar needs.
