This Lawyer threaten me to put a lean on my house

It was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I hired her as a Lawyer and she never ever did anything on my divorce case she even threatened my husband and I to put a lean on our house if we didn’t take down a google review I have all the documents to prove it. As far as we know she is disbarred and ...not allowed to practice law in Texas. She scammed a bunch of people she should be in jail.

Unprofessional

Happens that this what she calls herself attorney, dropped my case in the middle of it all. She failed to resolve my divorce, took $3000 from me and was left with no divorce, nor nothing. Worst attorney in Houston should be ashame of herself taking money without solving anything… but she will sweet t...alk in to you to get her business . I should have read her Google reviews before making a decision. I understand now why she has really bad reviews.

Very disappointed with her services

I heard this attorney to represent me in a divorce matter pay the $15 retainer and within that time my divorce case was on February 20, 2024 to go to trial and fight for me, regaining my home or having My ex-wife buy me out when a reasonable settlement within 30 minutes. She convinced me to settle ...for a lower mountain with my house is worth. I am still at this day trying to fight to get the money that is awarded to me from my divorce. No support at all. My ex-wife was able to gain the house. The attorney was able to get paid her retainer fee Attorney was able to get paid and this moment May 10, 2024 still trying to get the money rewarded to me. This is not for nobody to use. I read other reviews on here. They give her four stars I disagree because as this moment still struggling trying to gain my portion of the pie with zero support from Attorney or office I tried to call and no response. I text and I get I’ll get back to you if I can.

Chooses someone else

Firstly, I think all these “good reviews” were written by her or her team, so don’t believe all these good reviews I doubt they’re all real. To me, Vy seemed the same as a court appointed lawyer. Too many cases and does the bare minimum. When I consulted and then hired (and paid) her, I almost never... spoke with her. I spoke with her team once or twice- they didn’t even know my name or anything about my case, I had to repeat everything about my case whenever I spoke with her assistants. Vy and I spoke one day and she told me she was going to have my ex served. I called her a week or so later, to see if anything was happening… no response. I gave her the benefit of the doubt waited another week or two- barely got her on the line (maybe once and she told me he wasn’t served yet). Finally, A month or two after she said she would get him served (and I had called her maybe twice a day for around a week) she went off on me! Saying along the lines of she would tell me when he’d gotten served and to stop calling her??? I could barely reach her for weeks at a time and then call/email for updates because I had no idea what was going on with my case). I’m no lawyer but it shouldn’t take months to get someone served. The paperwork she served was never shown or approved by me. Had she have shown me, I could’ve told her the paperwork was wrong- She had wrong names on the case! I found out my ex was served when HE called me. I contacted her and she answered acting boastful like she was hot stuff. My ex called her while we were speaking and she called me back acting like she was doing a great job, assuring me the wrong name was quick fix. I was embarrassed I had a lawyer that couldn’t even get the names on my case right. I barely spoke with her after this conversation. She let me know she filed for a court date and I got an email about it and the link to the zoom meeting. When it was finally time to go to virtual court (months later after not speaking with her at all) was she in attendance ready to go? No. She called me 15 minutes prior to the meeting (did I mention she never even told me what I should expect much less prepare me- I had to google what to expect) she said she had other cases she had to be in court for and she was going to have another “amazing lawyer” assist me. Seriously?!? I thought at least the lawyer would be prepared- NOPE, he didn’t know my name or what was going on with my case. I had to explain everything to him in 10 minutes. I wanted to cry and throw up all at once because I knew this bad. As you can guess the case didn’t go my way. He completely botched it. So much so once we got off the call, he apologized to me. Yes. That’s how bad he messed up. Of course I couldn’t reach her after that. I had to call over and over because I needed to get the court paperwork from what the judge ruled. Finally one of her assistants responded to one of my emails (weeks later) with the paperwork attached. I wanted to see if there was anything else we could do so I attempted to reach out but never heard from them again. I felt she was rude, disrespectful, disorganized, condescending & gaslit me. This was a few years ago and I’d never had to hire a lawyer, so I didn’t know this wasnt normal and that she wasn’t doing a good job- but its very clear to me now. If I could do this part of my life over, I’d take out the largest loan I could and get a MUCH better lawyer from a reputable law firm. I’m writing this not to trash her (as this case was years ago so this isn’t a heat of the moment review, but an honest one) but to stop someone else (who may not be her priority- as I clearly wasn’t) from making this bad decision. I wouldn’t wish this, on anyone else. If you’re working with her and starting to see the same signs- let go of the retainer you paid her and find a new lawyer immediately. You deserve a fighting chance and Vy won’t give that to you. Me and all the other clients she did this to, deserved more.

Thank you

Ms. Vy and Ms. Renee were the BEST at bringing my divorce case to an end. I am very pleased with the outcome. Communication was thorough, compassionate, firm. These ladies made sure I was not being mishandled by the opposing party. I strongly recommend this team 100%.
