Mr Spofford is going to judge you - based on not what you say but based on what opposing party said. He has no interest in real work and will email you only when retainer is all used and its time to pay him again. You have to explain contract to him for to file something, let's say contempt of court and pay for the time YOU explained contract to him. But he still wouldn't do anything or file any motion even if it is warranted. With Mr Spofford, talk is cheap but it does cost you money.
After three months of dealing with him, he even failed to remember if I had a son or a daughter. While avoiding unnecessary conflict is certainly a good thing , Mr Spofford will not fight even for your legal rights. There I said it in rather poetic way.

I found myself in a very messy divorce and needed a good attorney. I searched for Top Super Attorneys and went with one. A short while later I realized that she had her own agenda and I had to fire her. The moment I discovered Chris, I knew that he is the one to carry me through the mess. At the climax of the divorce process was the Psychological Evaluation of me and my spouse. It was evident that the Psychologist had manipulate all the results and came up with solid report recommending to the judge that my spouse should have Sole custody of the children upon the fact that my spouse had exhibited documented Psychiatric issue. With the sound judgment and experience of Chris, in no time he had the Psychologist deposed and rendered her report irrelevant. Long story short, if you really need The BEST or the BEST, Chris and his crew is all you NEED. You cannot get anything better. May God bless Chris, Tristan, Jennifer and Nikki.

Previous to my divorce case, I had never been to court for anything bigger than a traffic ticket so when Chris took on my divorce case, I knew little if anything of the family judicial process. Chris walked me through the steps of what was going to happen and what would be expected of me but also suggested i do my own homework. This was good advice as I learned that divorce cases are not always so straightfoward....(woman files for divorce, woman gets custody of children). This was my expectation as we walked into court but Chris was quick to find the weakness in the opposing side which allowed me to eventually win (for lack of a better word) the day. The bottom line is the decision the judge made, based on Chris's strategy enabled my children to be in the safest post divorce environment. I couldn't ask for more than that. thanks

Chris was very helpful through my divorce proceedings. He and Tristan handled my case with my best interest at hand. I would recommend both attorneys.

I have used Mr. Spofford on two cases with the present one being a custody issue. Mr Spofford has handled my case with complete professionalism, integrity and compassion. He is honest and conscientious with all aspects of my case. He is a without a doubt a very smart attorney and truly cares about my case, which is extremely important to me. I have not once felt as though my son's well being did not matter to him. In all communication with his office, my emails and phone calls were responded in a very timely manner. I have always been treated as though I'm his most important client even though I know, he has many. I highly recommend Mr. Spofford for your family law needs.

Chris handled my delicate separation and divorce in an excellent way. Even though my wife and I decided on a collaborative process, communication throughout the process were contentious and we came very close to abandoning collaboration in favor of more expensive litigation. Chris handled the ups and downs of the collaborative sessions with evenness and his fair temperment was a key factor in our coming back to collaboration and finally succeeding there and avoiding litigation.
