Christopher Anthony Spofford

I hired Mr. Spofford for a custody modification. Soon after a terribly messy divorce I discovered my son was in a chaotic household and I had to make sure he was safe. It took a lot of time and money, but was worth it in the end. Chris was patient, on point and trustworthy. Depositions seemed stress...ful and chaotic to me but Chris was calm, patient and methodical. Mr. Spofford was able to obtain HPD body cam footage that turned out to be extremely helpful to my case. Chris and Jennifer always responded to calls and emails in a timely fashion, along with making sure I was informed and I understood all aspects of the process. I'm definitely happy with my decision to hire Mr. Spofford.

Chris handled my delicate separation and divorce in an excellent way. Even though my wife and I decided on a collaborative process, communication throughout the process were contentious and we came very close to abandoning collaboration in favor of more expensive litigation. Chris handled the ups and... downs of the collaborative sessions with evenness and his fair temperment was a key factor in our coming back to collaboration and finally succeeding there and avoiding litigation.

My divorce was recently finalized and I am fully satisfied with the custody and divorce rulings. Previous to my divorce case, I had never been to court for anything bigger than a traffic ticket so when Chris took on my divorce case, I knew little if anything of the family judicial process. Chris walked me through the steps of what was going to happen and what would be expected of me but also sug...gested i do my own homework. This was good advice as I learned that divorce cases are not always so straightfoward....(woman files for divorce, woman gets custody of children). This was my expectation as we walked into court but Chris was quick to find the weakness in the opposing side which allowed me to eventually win (for lack of a better word) the day. The bottom line is the decision the judge made, based on Chris's strategy enabled my children to be in the safest post divorce environment. I couldn't ask for more than that. thanks
