Last year (late May,2014) I found myself in a major double bind. Empathy, care and compassion were never missing ; she was never condescending, never less than thorough, always resourceful when I was clearly not understanding a question or the importance of a detail. I was kept informed about every step of the legal process and when necessary, translated them into 'lay language for me' . Although she did not hesitate on pressing an issue when she needed to, she maintained a professional and cordial tone in her communications with the opposing party. Once the settlement was concluded, she followed up with clear instructions, answering all questions I presented. . Perhaps the most rewarding outcome of this process was that I knew I was no simply another 'case' she won. She clearly rejoiced with me for the happy resolution of my predicament and with the part she played in it.
