His drive for justice is rooted in his upbringing in Duval County, Florida, and Harris County, Texas — specifically the neighborhoods of 3rd Ward, Acres Homes, and Greenspoint. Growing up in these communities gave Larry a firsthand understanding of the struggles faced by underserved populations, fueling his determination to protect the rights of people in both urban and rural settings. That perspective deepened as he now raises his children in rural Texas, further shaping his appreciation for fairness across communities.

His dedication deepened after his own personal experience requiring legal representation against a corporate giant. This life-changing moment reinforced his belief in client-centered advocacy — ensuring fairness, compassion, and clear communication guide every case he handles.

Community Leadership

Larry is deeply committed to community engagement. He coaches youth sports, collaborates with diverse community stakeholders, and leads initiatives designed to uplift underserved populations. For Larry, justice extends beyond the courtroom — it is a responsibility carried into the community every day. He has served on boards for the City of Dallas, the City of Cedar Hill, Los Barrios Healthcare, the 1060 Foundation, and several nonprofit organizations.

Early Legal Career

Larry began his legal career in public service, gaining invaluable experience in government and legislative operations. He first served as a Deputy Parliamentarian in the Texas House of Representatives, where he developed a deep understanding of legislative procedure, statutory interpretation, and public policy.

He then went on to serve as Legal Advisor to Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, providing strategic counsel on federal legislative matters and community-impact issues.

Larry concluded his government legal career as a Prosecutor for Dallas County, Texas, where he represented the State of Texas in criminal cases and strengthened his commitment to justice, fairness, and ethical legal practice.
