Adam Michael Helleck

I hired Adam at least a year ago with a 10K retainer. No motions were ever filed, I haven't seen my child in over the year that I've had him retained because he refuses to fight for my rights as a mother, he postpones my hearing dates months out at the convenience of the opposing counsel, he refuses ...phone calls, text messages and emails. I've asked him several times to return my payment so that I can pursue another attorney and Mr. Helleck refuses. Avoid this man at all costs if you cherish your children.

We hired Attorney Adam Helleck to represent us by representing the truth; what was best for our son. He came in after two previous attorney’s just couldn’t get the job done. Before Adam’s representation, between the other two attorney’s we spent almost a decade in court. I will admit, our case was no... simple ordinary custody case. It went to trial several times with the judgement for custody being swayed back and forth every time. Do yourself a favor and hire a professional attorney. Adam is late to hearings and arbitrations but bills as if he was on time. His invoices are full of errors and fraudulent billing hours that he cannot defend. He is constantly asking for additional money before completing the previous task. He ...never submits the proper paperwork to the court in a timely fashion , creating a record that does not accurately represent the facts of the case. Overall, the guy is very unprofessional and incapable of effectively representing any party in an equitable family law proceeding. He owes many ex clients money from unearned retainers and refuses to return phone calls or the funds in question. Hire a reputable firm with a proven record of professionally representing clients in family court. Not a one man firm operating out of their kitchen.

I was a client of Helleck Law for a divorce from August 2019 - April 2020. Mr. Helleck is very well versed in the law and how to maximize the strengths and weaknesses of the case. He cuts through the drama to focus the situation in a way that keeps it as simple and stress free as possible. Of course,... anyone that has gone through a divorce knows it is unavoidable when children are involved. During mediation Mr. Helleck was very good. I did not settle for less than I deserved in visitation or estate division because of his counsel. When the case went to trial, he objected when necessary and left our witnesses on the sideline (hallway actually because it was a divorce with children and no one was allowed in the courtroom) when he knew it could only hinder the case. When the opposing counsel put in a motion for a new trial, Mr. Helleck easily used the law to get it denied. That motion was tried via ZOOM video conference with the judge, counsel, clients, and court reporter due to the current pandemic. His rates are right near the market price for the Houston area as well, making his services a decent value in a matter that may affect the rest of your life. The outcome for me was very favorable and I would recommend Mr. Helleck for legal representation.
