I never thought as a fathe...r, I’d have a voice in court since most fathers typically almost never win child custody modifications in the State of Texas. Trust me I’ve had many lawyers tell me I didn’t have a chance gaining 50/50 custody because of the Judge assigned to our case. With each previous child custody modification attempt, they did not fight the fight. I would walk away with nothing and in turn my ex-wife gained more. Well, then I met Sarah and that all changed. She gave me & my family a voice and we were heard!!! My ex-wife tried to demoralize me as a father, to go as far as trying to prove me hostile with an anger issue, accusing me of neglect, and poor parenting skills. My ex-wife served me petitioning all of this and wanting sole custody. I didn’t think I’d have a chance to win a 50/50 modification after all I had been through in the past. Then I found Sarah. Sarah saw right through my ex-wife’s strategy and stopped her in her tracks. Sarah worked diligently to eliminate every tactic my ex-wife brought to court and by the end of the first court hearing, my ex-wife left the court room in tears - defeated. The judge awarded us the first phase of our modifications (extended visitation) and did not increase my ex-wife’s request for additional child support. Two days after this court hearing/appearance, my ex-wife called me, realizing she would not win this battle and gave me 50/50 custody with everything I asked for and more. She did not want to face Sarah in court again, knew she didn’t have a chance to win especially with a social study and knowing Sarah was ready to fight for me & my family 150%. The modification was over within weeks. My ex-wife didn’t even show up to court for the final signing before the judge. She couldn’t face me, Sarah and the final defeat. You will find Mrs. Darnell not only a smart and intelligent lawyer, but also a compassionate person. I hired Sarah thanks to a GREAT friend who recommended her. From my first consultation with Sarah, she recognized my ex was intrepreting our divorce decree as he so fit.
