About Nathaniel
Biography
Nathan Miller was born and raised in Southlake, Texas and graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. After graduation Nathan attended Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas. During law school he interned for both the United States Attorney's Office and the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office. It was while working in the Criminal Trial and Appeals sections of these offices that Nathan Miller developed a passion for the practice of criminal law.
During law school Nathan Miller also competed on several national level Moot Court appellate advocacy teams. While in law school, Nathan and two fellow law students competed in the prestigious John J. Gibbons Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition. His team defeated Georgetown University Law Center in the final round to win the National Championship. Additionally, Nathan Miller was awarded Best Oral Advocate in the Final Round. This advocacy training prepared Nathan for what would soon become a career as a tough and competitive criminal trial attorney.
After law school, Nathan Miller joined the Denton County District Attorney's Office as a prosecutor. In only two years he tried over 40 cases to a jury in both misdemeanor and felony courts. In addition to trying cases in the courtroom, Nathan Miller was charged with the task of evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of hundreds of cases and negotiating fair plea bargain agreements with other attorneys. The development of in-court and out-of-court skills become invaluable to Nathan Miller''s next move in the landscape of criminal law.
After serving as a prosecutor at the District Attorney's Office, Nathan Miller left to began a private criminal defense practice. When he is not in the courtroom, Nathan Miller enjoys spending time with family, attending sporting events, traveling, cycling, and being outdoors.
