Mike Upshaw, partner at Upshaw Law Firm, received his Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan School of Law in Fort Worth. He has built his practice in Denton County and is an active member of the legal community. He has a broad area of expertise including business organization, civil litigation, family law, immigration, and family law. His associations include the Denton County Bar Association and the Greater Denton County Young Lawyers Association, of which he is a past president.
Mike also is dedicated to serving the larger community as a member of the Denton Chamber of Commerce, a graduate of the 26th class and a program co-chair of Leadership Denton, and as a board member of Greater Denton Arts Council.
Mike first came to Denton as an undergraduate to study music performance in the renowned Jazz Studies program at the University of North Texas’ College of Music. He stays connected to Denton’s vibrant music scene as a performer with the rock band The Hope Trust, and is particularly interested in the intersection of art and community development.
