I was simply making a call about the status of a case and when answering he became immediately frustrated and rude. He stated certain things that didn’t add up so I told him ok thank you and he went silent then hangs up on me. I’m just humorously surprised to his reaction when many times I’ve called ...and was sent directly to voicemail that was full and many others also.

I was charged with a second degree felony for having 4 pieces of marijuana candy. He was my court appointed lawyer. This man never gave a thing about my freedom. Not once did he tell the judge that I was a recent college grad with no record at all. He just let them throw the book at me with no remors...e. When it was all said and done, he charged me 1200.00 for speaking to me maybe a total of 30 minutes over the course of 13 months. I asked him, "you're charging me for the 4 times I showed up to court and you didn't?" To which he replied in a very defensive manner, "I'm sorry! My wife has breast cancer!" Sorry about your wife, but how is that fair? I feel like any other lawyer would have done a better job than he did. I cant believe he still practices law to be honest. Do yourself a favor, find a lawyer that cares about you, your case and your freedom. Horrible. This was my first and only offense and he did nothing to help me.

Was referred to Zellmer by an attorney friend. He was rude and disrespectful of my questions. Come to find out later that he charged twice what other attorneys normally charge for a case such as mine. I never felt we had a rapport; he treated me in an adversarial manner when I needed support and enco...uragement. His paralegal, Sunny, was great. Wish she was the attorney. Would not recommend this attorney.

Joe handled the case when I adopted my step-daughter. He explained everything and told us what to expect. Our questions were answered quickly and honestly. When the opposing side was difficult to deal with, he was not flustered by that. He simply worked harder and revised our strategy for the case.... He prepared my husband and me for the hearing and was with us at every moment. At the hearing itself, he helped make it a really special experience. It was a really special day for my family.
