Recently, my two ex’s simultaneously initiated custody battles that were relentless, emotionally charged, and entangling within the complex nature of the family court system. For the first time, I found myself frightened and helpless in the face of serious mounting legal issues, which were compounded... by extreme humiliation, as each was founded on false allegations of child abuse. When it was time to hire an attorney, I called several. Most were practical and dispassionate, even vilifying me on the basis of my ex’s affidavit. Tom skillfully dismantled CPS investigators, witnesses, and my ex’s testimony in a manner that in turn benefited me. He defended against false allegations with more than a “he said, she said” battle in court, but by crafting a strategy personalized to my unique situation entailing of discovery, the gathering of witnesses and preparation for hearings. More importantly, his representation went beyond defending me; he fought to help me regain a sense of control and empowerment in a decade long relationship in which I grew passive and fearful to stand up for myself. He was, in a word, my advocate. The dynamics of my case, were highly personal for him. Eventually, my ex realized that he wasn’t going to let him get anything past me and we were able to come to an amicable settlement. I can’t recommend Thomas enough. This attorney recognizes the importance of your children and puts them first in the legal process while guiding you with honesty and personalized attention. He has his client’s best interest at heart and the skillset to win.

Have known Mr. McKenzie for over 10 years and he has always carried himself professionally and ethically. He ALWAYS has time for his clients, no matter home small or large the issue may be. Tom's advocacy for the children of Texas is surpassed by no one. He truly has a passion and dedication to in...suring children and their families are treated fairly and equitably in the court, for that he should be commended as too often attorneys give little effort in family court, but not Tom.
