Christopher Leshawn Tolbert

I hired Mr. Tolbert in 2018. He failed to keep several deadlines and on time appointments. It was for a child custody case. He blamed it on the legal system which in my opinion is an excuse. that was the excuse for some but not all. His legal assistant stated the filed paperwork was sent back becaus...e paperwork was filled out incorrectly which was a concern. The day before court he called us and stated he would not be able to show up so he had his assistant lawyer show up. We never met her but he said he updated her on the case. The next day, our court was at 9:00. She showed up about 9:25. The court representative came out and asked where Mr. Tolbert was and we said it was Ms. Day. They knew nothing about him not being there and she should be here soon. After showing up to court late, I terminated him as my lawyer. After asking for my retainer, he said I would owe him money. He charged me for a consultation that he told me would be free, 4 hours for the other lawyers time for court travel, and 5 hours of updating her on the case.

If I had to describe Chris Tobert in one word, the word would be Amazing. This attorney is like no other that I've ever seen. I was referred to Mr. Tolbert by a Supervisor at my job that spoke highly of him not knowing his skill set. When I finally meet him, I was very impressed with how personable/p...rofessional he was. I had to get some documents revised and handle some more personal issues which required an Attorney. When I reached out to Mr. Tolbert, he immediately called me to get information on my situation and had his secretary set an appointment up with me immediately. Shortly after that, the case well on it's way and the court date was set. I've found that most attorneys are standoffish and you can't even reach them in the time of need but this was never the case with Mr. Tolbert. When I needed him, he was right there and able to answer any questions I had. During the process and court proceedings, Mr Tolbert went into the court room with pure facts based off of a wealth of knowledge that which ended up winning my case. I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer and I would recommend him to anyone because you can't go wrong with him as your Attorney. Mr. Tolbert is honest will all information one of the best attorney's I have ever seen in a very long time.

Mr. Tolbert and his constituents are people of integrity because of their ambition, credentials and honesty, my setback was pursued with great intent and made right with total dismissal of my case in confidence. Chris Tolbert was assigned as my court appointed attorney in a Class B misdemeanor case. Having gone through the court system before with Attorneys chosen for me, I anticipated the same type of responsiveness from Chris. Boy was I wrong!! Mr. Tolbert put me at ease when we met at my initial court app...earance. He carries his title confidently and arranged a plea that I wouldn't have considered. Chris was my attorney and also like a cool friend that knew the ins and outs and wouldn't accept anything less than the best he could offer. Chris Tolbert obviously is in that group of people that don't intimidate others with their position.
