Tom McElyea is one of those rare attorneys who is compassionate, knowledgeable, responsive and professional. Although in the end I decided not to pursue a claim and potential legal action, Tom helped me through that decision by explaining very clearly what would be involved, the legal basis of that ...action and the risks that would be involved. My situation involves a nutritionist who violated sexual and professional boundaries. From the time I called Tom’s office, he called me back within a couple of hours to discuss my situation. From the start, I felt he listened to me very closely and compassionately and was able to clarify the heart of the matter right away. I then met with Tom in his office to discuss the situation further. He was very easy to talk with and talked me through what would be involved in pursuing a claim and potentially, a lawsuit. Because of the risks involved and the exposure of some very personal details, I decided not to go forward. But if I had decided to do so, I would definitely have hired Tom and there is no doubt in my mind that he would have done an amazing job. He is the type of strong but kind attorney and person who I would want representing my interests. If I ever have another legal issue, I will definitely turn to Tom for counsel. He is a one of a kind attorney who truly cares and is very knowledgeable. I deal with attorneys on a daily basis.
