Leslie Starr Barrows

Referred to me from a friend who was using Ms. Barrows for the first time. I have never retained a lawyer for a traffic citation before so I was curious to see if it actually paid off - wrong. The only time I was contacted via phone was to get payment from me. After that, I was contacted solely throu...gh e-mail and hardly given any details of what was going on. All information received felt like pulling teeth - had to ask a ton of questions and was given short vague answers. Was initially told she could have the ticket not go on my record and probably lower the fine. The only good thing that occurred was the ticket will not go on my record HOWEVER the ticket has now cost me twice as much as it would have cost had I just taken care of it myself. I feel like she saw my case as a petty citation and an easy bit of cash to just toss in with the rest to attend court and knock out in 1 day. Steer clear of this one's promises and find yourself a better attorney.

My husband's insurance allowed for us to have free legal consultations, so we must have met with about a dozen attorneys before finding Leslie Barrows. Every attorney we met with for our child custody case told us we could not get sole custody because it would be 50/50, regardless of how much thoroug...h documentation we had to prove that it was not in the best interest of my step son. Leslie, and her team fought so hard for us! This was a case that was transferred from Michigan to begin with, so they helped us get proper jurisdiction in Texas. It was an incredibly stressful time in our lives, but the Barrows firm worked with us every step of the way. They took the time to explain everything to us, and reassured us when we were anxious about the process. They treated us like people, not just another number. I cannot thank them enough. As of today, bio mom has officially terminated her rights and we will be proceeding with a step parent adoption. I am in awe of everything Ms. Barrows has worked to accomplish for us. She has worked tirelessly to get us to this point. Everything we were told we couldn’t do, she has accomplished. The best part for me is what my son told me once the termination was official. He sighed a breath of relief and said he is so happy he never has to worry about bio mom coming into his life and making it a mess again. It’s not what she did just for us. She gave peace to our son and that means the world to us. Thank you again, Leslie. Truly. You’re a God send.

I can’t say enough positive things about Leslie and her entire team. They are warm, engaged, communicate regularly and respond quickly. Divorce is something no one wants to experience. It’s an overwhelming and emotional season of life and it felt really nice to have someone advocate for me. Leslie kn...ows the her stuff, But what makes her special is her ability to connect with clients. I’m really thankful I had her by my side through this time.

My case was an interesting one. I was adopting my nephew and I thought at first I was going to be able to navigate the adoption on my own. The Barrows Firm was truly a blessing for me and my son. I was had a court date that was very crucial is time sensitive and reached out to my Legal Plan with my employer for an immediate attorney representation. My legal plan gave me a list of attorneys, but I decided to contact the Barrow Firm. Beca...use my son is a minor, and my goal was to keep his record clean... it was imperative I would fine an good attorney to represent him quickly as possible.
