Walt A. Cleveland

I met Walt in 2009 after I was arrested on a drug charge, while on probation, and Walt was my court appointed attorney. I have had a few other court appointed attorneys and two I actually paid for, but I would not recommend ANY of them. My charges were in Tarrant County, but my probation was in Pa...rker County. Getting a new charge is obviously a probation violation. Walt offered to represent me in my probation revocation even though he was only appointed to represent me on my new charges. Walt Cleveland is a knowledgeable, caring attorney. He gave me solid advice without being condescending. My life has turned in a whole new direction since then and I don't plan on ever needing a criminal attorney again, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to hire Walt Cleveland.

As our case progressed he was helpful and patient to explain and guide us every step of the way. It was almost as if we were the only client he had, yet I know he is very busy and would sometimes have several cases going in different courtrooms simultaneously. My son had him at first as court appoint...ed, then we later hired him on another case. On the first case I was very skeptical because of the way court appointed attorneys are conveyed in the media. I called eight different attorneys. Five of them knew him. Four of those highly recommended him and one of those went into great detail with me about how much he respected him, convincing me I didn't need to hire another(i.e. him). That was very impressive, but not as impressive as the results he got before one of the known toughest judges in THE known toughest county in the toughest state against certain crimes. I am very thankful we met Walt and Linda and would encourage anyone in a criminally defensive situation to consider his firm. Walt, you changed my mind about defense attorneys for the rest of my life. I appreciate all you did for my son.

Mr. Cleveland is a very prestigious, generous,and compassionate lawyer. He was very honest with me as well as made me feel comfortable about my situation. He cares enough to work to get you the best possible outcome. I'd recommend him to anyone. He showed up promptly for my case court date and maneuv...ered the best outcome for myself.

I was arrested in Tarrant county for possession of marijuana. As a college student, I was terrified given that a drug related conviction results in the loss of financial aid. I contacted Mr. Cleveland, only had to meet once and speak over the phone a couple of times, and paid a flat-rate fee. The goa...l was to lower the charge. However, Mr. Cleveland was able to get the case completely dismissed with no probation. He is very professional, polite, concise, and gets the job done. You can't choose a better lawyer, trust me.

There aren't many Attorneys who respond in a timely manner to former clients who request important documents concerning their previous case; but Mr. Cleveland will. After nearly two years, he and his wonderful administrative assistant (Ms. Shelly) both remembered me and promptly provided the document...ation that I needed (all while he was woking on another important case). Had I went to the county that had my information, it would have taken over two weeks: they did it in four days--and that's counting the weekend and him having to go to the courthouse to retrieve it!! Mr. Cleveland or his staff WILL return your call promptly, be upfront with what can legally be done, and intercede diligently to the courts on your behalf. His prices or comparable for attorneys of his caliber, training, and expertise--If you are looking for a cheap lawyer, here's my advise: you get what you pay for: Walt Cleveland and his staff are worth it!
