Kelly Margaret Heitkamp

I found Miss Heitkamp through AVVO. I'm a grandmother with a daughter involved with the wrong crowd. She is not a good mother right now but I didn't want to wait for CPS to step in. CPS came in the past but they ended up giving the babies back to her even though she was living in a hotel. I learn...ed that CPS is part of the state and they have all of the power to make all decisions for the babies. I had no rights even though the babies were placed with me. This was the last time so I hired a highly respected attorney so this would end finally. It has been a long process but we just finalized our case and we are now acting as the parents and have all of those rights. My daughter can visit the children when she comes out of rehab but she can no longer take the children and CPS can't take them from us. This is heartbreaking and exhausting emotionally and financially but we now have closure and control. I recommend Miss Heitkamp for reasons too lengthy for this site but mainly her compassion, honesty, direct approach, and relentless nature. She has an incredible reputation and after one meeting with her it is easy to see why.
