J. Drew Houghton is a native Texan who has been practicing law since 1998. Mr. Houghton had been in private practice in Oklahoma since 2003 before merging with Foshee & Yaffe, Attorneys at Law in 2011. His practice entails a broad range of specialties, including: insurance and bad faith litigation, general civil and business litigation, personal injury, mass torts, class actions, products liability, business formation and organization, and virtually all other aspects of a general litigation practice.
Prior to entering into private practice, Mr. Houghton worked with law firms representing both plaintiff and defense interests after graduation from the Oklahoma City University College of Law in 1998. Currently, Mr. Houghton’s practice at Foshee & Yaffe is focused as an insurance lawyer, representing victims of the May 2013 catastrophic tornadoes and subsequent wind/hail storms against their insurance companies for failing to deal fairly and in good faith during the claim process. Mr. Houghton represents clients in all Oklahoma State and Federal Courts and has presented oral argument before the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma Association for Justice, the Robert J. "I highly endorse Drew Houghton. He is the consummate professional, zealously advocating for his clients while treating everyone--on all sides of the case--with courtesy and the utmost respect. I have had two cases with Drew, both of which involved complex and heavily disputed questions of fact and law. When I faced Drew in these cases, I knew I was up against a highly-skilled, formidable opponent. I also knew, however, that I was dealing with someone who honors his word, someone who understands the value of a gentlemanly approach while still fighting for his client. At the close of the last case, my client specifically sought out Drew to compliment him on his professionalism. I too commend Drew. I recommend him without qualification."
"He is the consummate professional. He FIGHTS for his clients, even when they won’t fight for themselves. He is passionate about his profession and exemplifies integrity. Drew puts all of himself into a case, as if he is fighting for a family member. He reminds us all of why we went into the profession of law and why it remains such a worthy cause."
