David Tijerina

David was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and after working in marketing for a number of years decided to attend law school.  He received his law degree from Southern Methodist UniversitySchool of Law in 1994.  While in law school, Mr. Tijerina clerked forthe Dallas Court of Appeals and was a member of the National Moot CourtTeam and SMU's Order of Barristers.

After graduation, he began his career with the Dallas law firm of Cowles & Thompson, where he practiced in the areas of real estate, insurance defense, commerical litigation, and municipal law.  Although Mr. Tijerina began his career representing corporations, insurance companies and governmental entitites, in 1999 he changed law firms to represent injured people and families. During his career he has tried cases to verdict, representing both plaintiffs and defendants.  From 2001 to 2008, he also served as an adjunct professor of law at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.  In 2008, Mr. Tijerina was named adjunct professor of the year.

David A. Tijerina is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas and United States District Court for The Northern District of Texas. Currently he focuses his practice on personal injury, death and consumer cases.
