Trusted advisor and friend
As the in-house attorney for my company, Mr. Kopf was always there for whatever we needed, whenever we needed it. As an all female firm, we very much appreciated his lack of condescension in all matters, legal and generally business related. That has been quite a few years ago, but I'm certain he ...

Legal Help
Judge Kopf assisted me with a litigation case. It was handled efficently and a settlement was reached in my favor in a short amount of time. The money was quickly transferred and the case was concluded a lot quicker than I anticipated. I was very pleased with how Spencer Kopf handled my case and impr...
"I had the pleasure of working with Spencer Kopf on a complex family matter. His knowledge of corporate law/business entities, criminal law and taxation intersected perfectly with this matter and gave our mutual client a great advantage and ultimately led to an outstanding result that greatly exceeded our expectations. However, beyond this, understand that Spencer Kopf's knowledge of the law and further his experience in practicing law is extremely vast. Not only is he knowledgeable, but he has seen the statutes and case law opinions play out over the years thus leading to the position that he's in today. As a wise attorney once told me... nothing beats experience. Ask Mr. Kopf about any area of the law and he can tell you anything you want to know... from the nuts and bolts to the most recent appellate opinions. Mr. Kopf is not only well engaged in the practice of law but he pays attention to the most recent case opinions. Any prospective client should consider Spencer Kopf."
"I have worked with Spencer Kopf on several cases involving both criminal and immigration law. He is an experienced, gifted lawyer who devotes himself to each of his clients. He has a deep understanding of criminal law as well as the ways in which it intersects with immigration law for his immigrant clients. He knows when he needs to bring in other attorneys to assist on a case, and he works very well with other counsel when required. He is a gifted teacher of the law and a strong leader. However, he is also willing to listen to other attorneys and particularly to his clients and their families. He knows how to explain the complicated areas of the law in ways that clients and their families can understand. He is able to find creative solutions for more complicated cases. He uses his decades of experience to the advantage of his clients. If I had to choose a criminal attorney to represent me, he would be the best choice."
"I have had the pleasure of working together with Judge Kopf on many legal matters. I am always impressed with his loyalty to his clients, and he always gives his all. Judge Kopf is devoted to the legal profession and in my experience, he never fails to assist lawyers and judges in the interest of justice. I endorse Judge Kopf."
"I have had the privilege of working with Judge Kopf on multiple complex criminal matters. He is a man of integrity who truly cares for his clients and will go well beyond the call of duty to make sure they are properly represented. Truly, his clients come first. Because he has practiced at a high level for so many years, he is a great resource for young lawyers. I endorse Spencer Kopf."

Partially Probated Suspension issued in TX, 2000
updated on 04/08/2025Partially Probated Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. When the attorney returns to practice, he or she will be on probation, meaning the State monitors the attorney's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
“The sole finding for sanctioning was that I had "failed to properly supervise a non-attorney assistant to ensure that her conduct was compatible with [my] professional obligations as an attorney." My new office had opened in Dec.'95. The assistant's "conduct" in question occurred over a five month span (01/96-05/96), while I was traveling back and forth from Dallas to NY to assist my mother during my father's terminal illness. My father passed in Aug.'96. I terminated the assistant in May '96.”
