also known as David Swaim

About me

Life is about choices and if you are looking for an immigation laywer you can choose a Board Certified attorney (recognized as an expert by the State of Texas) with tens of thousands of successfull cases or you can choose someone with a few years of experience who has only learned a little immigration law at the expense of his or her clients.  This may sound self serving and to some extent it is. But it is also true. The choice is really that simple.  It is your future; please carefully consider your options.

I am the Managing Partner of Tidwell, Swaim and have practiced immigration law since 1986. I am Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Immigration and Nationality Law and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Our firm was stared in 1978 by a former Border Patrol and Immigration Service Officer who became a Board Certified Immigration Attorney.  Many of the best immigration attorneys in Texas and other states were trained in our firm.

Since 1978, our firm has achieved a 95% approval rate for all of our immigration cases, respresenting over 45,000 individuals, employers, companies and families. No other firm in North Texas can match this level of success. Although our firm is located in Dallas, Texas, we provide immigration services worldwide. I can be reached at: or 972-385-7900.

Our website,, has our entire history, a discussion of our cases, what makes us different than other immigration law firms and constant updates on US immigration law and procedure.  We welcome all immigration cases; it is all we have ever done.  Please think carefully about your future and join our family of over 45,000 happy clients.
