My case was considered as a high profile case which was a “big talk” at many countries on television, newspapers and internet. Our honorable Prime Minister of India Mr Modi was questioned because India is not a member of the Haque convention on the civil aspects because a child is not considered abducted by a parent during that time. I was charged with the abduction of my toddler son in 2014 at Collin County court. I was incarcerated and I served time for almost 8 months on interference of child custody. My ex-husband tried all possible ways to get me deported back to India. I was under removal proceedings and my green card, including my Indian passport were taken by the immigration authorities.
