Finally, when the IRS changed the settlement amount after we had paid, she pulled tax law that required the IRS to stop pursuing furth...er payment.

I contacted Ms. Giron because she was listed in the US Embassy, Philippines website as an attorney specializing in, among other areas, immigration and naturality laws. She was no longer in the Philippines, but I "googled" her and found her in Texas. So, I called, hoping she might still work part of... the year in the Philippines. Even though this was not the case, she assisted me, based on her experience and knowledge, with several suggestions and ideas. In this case, it was my nephew-in-law, a US citizen, needing assistance acquiring US passports for his daughters, born in the Philippines. Without burdening me with information I already knew, she provided creative suggestions involving measures that I wasn't aware of that I could do in the US. She did not charge for any of the time she spent advising me over the phone or emails. I will follow through with her suggestions. In the meantime, I am glad I could express my appreciation for her assistance and generosity of her time and knowledge.
