I really wanted to like this guy. When Brian took my case, I had spent the better part of a decade as a single dad and a physician. I've never been married, I've never broken a law (maybe some speeding tickets), my child has always enjoyed luxuries like international travel, summer camp, etc. After o...ver a year of court, there is zero proof of neglect or abuse on my part, the entire case is accusations, that's it. He lacked the ability to bring my daughter home. I watched this guy blow it with 2 judges. He came to court unprepared. His cross examination was embarrassingly sloppy. He didn't even give a closing argument. He never filed a motion to enforce when the other party blatantly broke orders. If you paid $500 an hour ($750 when he got his junior partner involved) and got crap results, would you complain? I did. Did he turn it around? Decide to care? Try to do his job? No. He just threw a tantrum and quit as soon as I pointed out that he was blowing the case. I've since hired a guy for half the price that has produced actual results. For Walters- I've literally never in my life spent so much money and gotten so little (actually nothing) in return. If I practiced medicine like this guy practiced law, people would die. So, zero stars.

I am a father of a 5 year child and both me and my ex-wife are good parents who could not get along. I was told by Brian during our first consultation that I had a 30-40% shot at winning child custody. He also had very good reviews and so I decided to go with him. After going through the entire divor...ce process, I can say that that I found Brian to be a weak attorney at best who was only interested in prolonging this process by making false and exaggerated claims. I observed helplessly through a series of incompetent and feckless performances by him during the temporary order hearing and deposition. We were slaughtered by a well prepared opposing counsel. I frankly wished that the opposing cousel was representing me. His office staff were just as clumsy, making mistake after mistake wasting my time and energy. Towards the end of the process, I just simply gave up having no confidence in him. I am writing this after careful thought and observations over the almost one year that I was involved with his firm. My advice to you is find someone who will genuinely represent your interests and fight for it.

Prior to meeting Brian Walters, I shared a net worth of $800,000 with my husband. Williamson County took every dime that was in my name after I filed for divorce - $95,000. I had to live strictly on credit for the duration of my divorce (8 months). Since my husband had closed all of our joint accou...nts, I had to put Brian's outrageous fee of $10,000 on a credit card. Brian did nothing to help me regain access to my assets. I gave his office all the information about our community property assets, and they did absolutely nothing with it for 6 weeks. At the mediation he did not attend, his associate brought in the documentation on my case. I asked if I could look through the documents and permission was granted. The only documentation in there was the information I gave his office. Among the copies of my email messages with his office, there was a single email message to my husband's attorney, requesting additional information, to which my husband's attorney simply said, "No". Brian never once gave me any legal advice, and never filed a single motion to help me. My husband of 21 years makes 3 times more than me and he took everything we had, after he and Williamson County basically held me under house arrest from the time I filed for divorce. I went into this divorce without any debt, and now I am deep in it, still trying to pay off Brian's and my husband's attorney fees. Do NOT file for divorce in WILLIAMSON COUNTY (move and establish residency in another county! ) and do NOT hire Brian Walters. Neither the county nor Brian will take any action to stop your abusive spouse from continuing to abuse you. You will lose everything you worked for all of your life. I am starting from scratch at age 55 because Brian Walters did nothing to ensure the community property laws of this state were enforced. I am not a drug addict or an alcoholic, I have never had any run-ins with the law, and I did not owe the city, county, state or federal government any money. I was a taxpaying business owner/homeowner in Williamson County for 15 years and the minute I filed for divorce, I was stripped of all civil rights and personal property. TRUE STORY. Brian's office never sent me a final invoice, even after repeated requests via email and phone calls. I have no idea where the $10,000 went.

This lawyer was very rude! Told me he only had 5 min. I felt rushed to get everything in 5 min when I paid $39 for 15min. I am very unsatisfied and would like a refund. He didn't take the time to fully understand what I was asking and just went with a generic standard answer. If possible I would lik...e a lawyer from the san Angelo tx area

I hired Brian Walters at the suggestion of 2 coworkers who had him for their divorce and custody attorney. I petitioned my now ex-wife for the divorce and conservatorship and custody of my daughter. I paid Mr. Walters $5,000 and truthfully, all it covered in his service was to show up to 3 court appe...arances with me and his "driving" time, according to his bill. I told him to represent me and change unrealistic, unfair, malicious temporary divorce/custody orders so I could see my child. He told me to "borrow the money from family and to make it work and follow the temporary orders, we can always change them-- later." Well, later never came. He put in a request to drop me as a client when I ran out of money after 6 months. No explanation, no further advise of what to do or who else to hire, no nothing. Truthfully it was all about the money. I do not recommend him for any case involving your children. It is heartbreaking enough for the children and parents when going through a bitter divorce. A money hungry, heartless attorney is not going to do the children nor the parents and helpful service in a bitter custody/divorce battle.
