Anita Cowley Savage

I hired Anita for a divorce case, hiring was based on her 5stars reviews regardless of the high rate she charges ($400/hr) at the beginning, nicely she reduced it to $350/hr later on which is why I am giving her the 1 star. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with Anita, she was very weak with t...he opposing lawyer, she made it easy for them to get everything they asked for, she caused me a big loss, high child support, lost my business, and more than $22K fees for Anita to end up with an unfair settlement. she was putting more pressure on me than she did on the opposing party. I had to let her go when it was too late for me to remedy the situation. So, now i have to suffer for another 12-13 years till the kids become 18. with the rate she charges you can hire 2 decent lawyers, please do your work before handing her your case. Sincerely

Over the years I have had to hire several attorneys going back to court many times. This time I hired Anita Savage to help with a child support modification my ex-husband filed that I believed to be completely false, there were no grounds for him to file to reduce child support. Anita took my case... very seriously and was more thorough than any attorney I'd ever hired. She had prepared, done her homework, and made me feel I finally had an advocate for my case. Her attention to detail and knowledge of the law was amazing. When we would go to the courthouse she proved the case every time in front of the judge. truly an amazing attorney.

Anita is the best! Great in the courtroom. She tookmy case for child custody and divorcee. She was able to reassured me I had a strong case. I thought I didn't due to my disability. She proved to be right. My soon to be ex husband tried to get full custody of our daughter . Anita discredit his sayi...ng I was unfit. I was given status quo and our daughter is with me he was given visitation. Anita also was able to get me back child support something she added and I had not thought of and it was granted by the judge.I was also awarded things in commune with my ex husband . Anita worked with my finances so that I'd be able to hire her services . It was worth every penny. She was always quick to respond when i contacted her. She's no nonsense and straight to the point. Does not talk around situations. She tells it like it is and talks with much experience. I'm fortunate to have met Anita and that she was on my side of the table.

When you have to go through hell & back (in other words…a divorce and/or custody battle), you want someone equipped & experienced to handle that long hard battle ahead. You want someone on your side that you can trust. Anita is not only trustworthy, she is also very smart, savvy, tough and professio...nal. One of the most difficult things anyone could ever go through is a divorce and/or custody battle. Going through a traumatic experience such as this often leaves one in a state of grief and shock. Anita takes some of the pain out by doing all the stressful dirty work to fight for what you want and is very successful doing it. She not only succeeded in getting me what I asked, but even managed to get me MUCH, MUCH more than I was EVER expecting. I was willing to settle for a lowered amount of child support from my ex to ensure that the decision to allow me to raise my son would be easier, (even though this is not about the money, it’s the fact that she is EXTREMELY capable of getting everything you want), but because the other party wanted to be difficult, she ended up going before the judge and getting me WAY more than I expected. My case was a modification case, and I’ve heard horror stories about trying to get that overturned. The state of Texas wants there to be significant substantial and material changes to the situation before they consider it a reason to change. (In other words, “If it ain’t broke…don’t fix it!”) And even though there was enough negative points to bring up, I still was not sure if I had enough to show significant “CHANGES”! Anita knew exactly what to present to the court that helped turn this around. She knew what the court would be looking for that would give them reason to change. Up until Anita, my previous experience with lawyers, were not positive at ALL! They were the kind of lawyers everyone jokes about – the blood-sucking, greedy, evil, heartless kind that will take you for every penny you have. My few, but horrible encounters with lawyers, left me believing that it was impossible to find one that truly has your best interest in mind! Anita COMPLETELY restored my faith that good lawyers really DO exist! She always worked with me on payment, was very understanding, very reasonable in price and always seemed to take care of my needs. When it came time to draft up the orders for court, she took EVERYTHING I wanted into consideration. She even added details to things that I didn’t even think to ask, but would’ve if I had thought to. Things that saves me the headache and heartache of future disagreements and fighting due to “gray” areas. She even tried to make it a fair and reasonable solution for the opposing party. (I say tried, because the opposing party wasn’t very willing to work with us.) She was able to keep the process as quick and painless as possible. She is super intelligent, sympathetic towards your needs, trustworthy, hard working, results-driven, aggressive and resourceful. Whether she knows this or not, she has seriously changed my life (more or less). I no longer have to worry about a vengeful ex having complete and total control over my life and my son’s! My son doesn’t have to worry about being used as a pawn and can now begin the healing process. The first step in getting your life back together and making positive changes in your life is hiring a good lawyer! Hiring Anita, was the best and easiest decision I ever made! We can now look towards the future with a bright disposition and without fear of constant stress and drama.
