Caroline Carr Galloway

I represent individuals, families and foster parents in private adoptions, agency adoptions, kinship adoptions, and step-parent adoptions.  I represent individuals in divorce, custody cases.  Finally I represent individuals in drafting premarital agreements.

I work with clients to help them identify their goals and needs. Then we determine the best path for them in the legal process based on their unique needs and goals.  There is no one way to navigate a family law issue, and my goal is to help you find the path to best outcome for your situation.

Prior to joining GoransonBain, I worked as an attorney at the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago.  There I represented children with disabilities, mental health needs, and child living in foster care. I represented clients in special education, school discipline, public benefits (SSI), and access to healthcare cases.  I also worked for a family law firm in Newport Beach, California that specialized in high asset divorces and family law matters. Prior to attending law school, I worked as a victim’s advocate at a domestic violence and sexual assault crisis center. 

As a lawyer, I utilize my training in active listening, crisis intervention, and case management to help you navigate difficult family law problems. I also use my experience working with business owners to assist with business interests, division of royalties, and international custody disputes.

I am a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, School of Law. I served as Judicial Extern for the Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, and received a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship to develop and implement a field research plan in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
