To start I want to thank Elisse for everything she did for me throughout one of the most stressful processes in my life. I had a wonderful experience working with Elisse. Not only did she give me the professional advice she was there as a person to listen and genuinely give the best expert advice. I contacted Elisse to handle a child support reduction issue. She was very thorough in her questioning of my situation as the non-custodial parent and immediately reviewed previous case work through the county records during my initial call. To her credit, she advised me that due to my income, age ...of my kids, and current child support payments, that although she might be able to reduce my obligation, that it probably would not be worth it to me in the end. She did all this on my first call with her. In retrospect, I wish I had her representing me earlier.

I was referred to Elisse through a friend when I was in need of custody legal representation and advisement. Luckily we had already been communicating and was scheduled for a consultation in a few days. I initially contacted Mrs. Woelfel to execute a Writ of Habeas Corpus to get my son returned home. She explained everything that we needed to do to get this completed. She gave me the price of $3500 which seemed to be the rate to file this. After about a week or so I called her back to move forward w...ith it but she told me that it would cost me $7000 to retain her because I had 2 cases filed against me (which was not true). She explained everything that we needed to do to get my son back which gave me confidence that I had chosen the correct attorney. After writing her the $7,000 check, a lot seemed to change. Most of our time talking on the phone was her trying to convince me to just let my son's mother have custody of my son (I've had custody for 10 years). She never once tried to set up a face to face meeting with me. Everything that we did was via phone or email. I explained to her that my son's mother have a history of taking and not returning him and that we previously been to court twice for similar situations. CPS had been to my home twice and the worker told me to have my attorney contact her but she never did. She initially told me that I did not have a set court date because I was not properly served court documents but then that changed as well. The day before my court date, I was forced to enter into an agreement to allow my son to enroll in school in Houston because Mrs. Woelfel just did not want to fight my case. If I hadn't signed this, I would have had to go to court the next day unprepared. She was convinced that my son, who is 14, would be granted an in chambers interview with the judge and that he would get to decide where he wanted to live and that a video from an incident in the store would get shown in court which would lead the judge to make the decision to let him live with his mother. Neither of these things happened. After signing the agreement I made the decision to part ways with Mrs. Woelfel because I didn't feel that she was representing me the way that I needed to be represented. In the end, I had my court date with a new attorney whom I feel better understood my situation and represented what I wanted to do. The judge made the decision to have my son returned home to me and I did not need to change the previous custody agreement. I am not sure why Mrs. Woelfel was hesitant to fight for me in court but I do not think that my son would be home if she had represented me.

From the day we first met the vibes were good! She got to work the same day and process paperwork that turn the case in my favor! She very honest and straight to the point!
