I am Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and practice almost exclusively in the area of appellate law, handling civil, criminal, and family law appeals, and habeas corpus applications. I have served on the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas, and of the State Bar College, and have served as Chair of the State Bar's Council of Chairs. I speak frequently on legal writing and appellate advocacy. I have been invited to speak on writing to the state appellate staff attorneys' conference, the appellate track of the Texas judges' school, and at the Appellate Judges Education Institute. My peers have selected me one of the "Best Lawyers in Dallas" in the area of appellate law as compiled by D Magazine.

"I endorse this lawyer. Our firm retained Mr. Baruch to help with several appeals. He did a wonderful job. Appeals to me are like someone speaking a foreign language. I appreciate the honesty and the matter of fact approach that Mr. Baruch took helping us on these matters."
"I endorse this lawyer. We have worked together on many matters over the last 18 years and he has handled most of the brief writing on my appeals. I consider Chad one of the best legal writers in Texas."
