Jacob Charles Estes

Jake is an estate planning attorney and the owner of Estes Law Office, P.L.L.C. in McKinney, Texas. His practice consists primarily of representing a wide variety of clients in the areas of probate administration, Wills and trusts (simple and complex), disability documents, elder law, guardianship, and corporate law. 

Previous to opening his own law practice, Jake was an associate estate planning attorney at The Law Office of M. Todd Estes, P.C. in Sherman, Texas for seven years. In addition to this experience, Jake served as an Assistant District Attorney felony prosecutor at the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.

Jake is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Collin County Bar Association, Grayson County Bar Association, Paul Brown American Inn of Court, Grayson County Young Lawyer’s Association, McKinney Chamber of Commerce, McKinney Young Professionals and the North Texas Young Professionals. He frequently presents seminars to groups in the North Texas area on various topics such as intestacy in Texas, the importance of preparing a proper Will and disability documents, and living trust scams.

Jake previously served on the Board of Directors for The Rehabilitation Center and the Sherman Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Estate Planning Section of the Collin County Bar Association.

Jake received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Austin College in 1999 and was a member of the Austin College Lacrosse team. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Texas A&M University School of Law (formerly Texas Wesleyan School of Law) in 2003 and was a member of the international law fraternity Delta Theta Phi. Jake was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2004.
