I am 34 years old now, and my ex-wife is 31 years old. I filed for divorce back in May 2022 and finalized it in January 2023. We did NOT have a single joint account, and the only combined asset we had was our house, which we purchased back in July 2020. During the consultation, Blake mentioned that t...his case could cost me somewhere between $6,000 to $8,000 if we finalize everything in mediation, but it could go up to $13,000 to $15,000 if my ex-wife takes me to court for any reason. In the end, we settled everything in mediation, but it cost me $25,000 just to get a divorce where none of my desired outcomes were achieved! I was incredibly frustrated by how recklessly I was billed for any type of work that was being done. Whenever I asked questions about the charges, I only received explanations on why those charges were legitimate. Moreover, I was charged additional fees for looking into those charges, and I was always threatened to seek another representation if I had any issues with billing. Going through a divorce is not a pleasant experience, but realizing that I had unintentionally hired another adversary to accompany me during this excruciating process was a hard pill to swallow. To highlight the lack of attention Blake paid to me and my case, there was an incident during mediation. He was responsible for working on the spreadsheet that splits the assets and liabilities between my ex-wife and me. There seemed to be something that didn't add up to me, so I eventually requested him to forward that spreadsheet to me so I could review the formulas. It turned out that a mistake had been made, resulting in me losing $15,000 in my share of assets. I pointed this out to him, emphasizing that I am a math major (something I had mentioned to him numerous times, starting with the initial consultation). Blake was very surprised to find that out again and proceeded to recommend that it might be too late to rectify this discrepancy with the opposing party if we still wanted to reach a settlement without going to court. Otherwise, going to court would cost the same amount and cause a lot more stress. I am more than happy to provide any necessary facts to support this experience, and I would NEVER recommend Blake or his assistant Erin for anything!

Blake was great representation during a really tough time in my life. He was a great communicator and showed real care for my case.
