It took me a while to decide whether I would write this review but I think everyone (especially someone who has never navigated within the legal system) should be informed. I hired Shanin a few years ago after being blindsided by my ex husband. Back then, I had never really worked with an attorney s...o I had no idea what to expect. Shanin seemed aggressive (which I thought was what you’d want in an attorney), however, she was very condescending. Some of the comments that she made to me were highly inappropriate and just mean. At that time, I was extremely stressed and just wanted to move forward so I went along with what I thought was best for my child. I provided information that she completely ignored because I’m assuming my case wasn’t significant for her. Fast forward to most recently. I was dreading having to work with another attorney because of how things panned out with Shanin and how alone and uninformed I felt alone throughout the entire process. I’ve recently worked with another attorney regarding the same situation. It was an entirely different experience. I didn’t realize how horrible my experience was with Shanin until working with someone else and having another experience to compare it to. If you’re not versed in the legal system and looking for someone to guide you and really advocate for your best interest, just know there are kind attorneys out there who will take the time to explain things and provide you with the best guidance. Shanin definitely did not provide that type of experience.

Shanin Turner represented me in a divorce. She was knowledgeable, efficient, and truthful with me regarding my specific circumstances. Even with a difficult judge, Shanin managed to keep the focus on the best interests of my children and was able to protect them from my ex's wild and untrue accusatio...ns. Not taking Shanin's advice on this subject is my most significant regret for the entire divorce process. Shanin was keen to protect my interests, thinking of several contingencies and how to cover them. Shanin was very honest and candid about the issues that we discussed, which I appreciated. Shanin was very professional, even when my ex-wife became very emotional in her office. I was overall very pleased with Shanin's service as my attorney.

Shanin was the THIRD attorney I hired to help with my divorce and I sure wish she had been the FIRST! After struggling for almost a year to make any progress, she managed to get it all done in a few short weeks. From the day of my consultation to the day of my divorce was a three week process! She... had great follow-up and communication with me as well. I strongly recommend her!
