Rude and Condescending

It took me a while to decide whether I would write this review but I think everyone (especially someone who has never navigated within the legal system) should be informed. I hired Shanin a few years ago after being blindsided by my ex husband. Back then, I had never really worked with an attorney s...o I had no idea what to expect. Shanin seemed aggressive (which I thought was what you’d want in an attorney), however, she was very condescending. Some of the comments that she made to me were highly inappropriate and just mean. At that time, I was extremely stressed and just wanted to move forward so I went along with what I thought was best for my child. I provided information that she completely ignored because I’m assuming my case wasn’t significant for her. Fast forward to most recently. I was dreading having to work with another attorney because of how things panned out with Shanin and how alone and uninformed I felt alone throughout the entire process. I’ve recently worked with another attorney regarding the same situation. It was an entirely different experience. I didn’t realize how horrible my experience was with Shanin until working with someone else and having another experience to compare it to. If you’re not versed in the legal system and looking for someone to guide you and really advocate for your best interest, just know there are kind attorneys out there who will take the time to explain things and provide you with the best guidance. Shanin definitely did not provide that type of experience.

Shanin was rude disrespectful and unknowledgeable, forgetful. Shainin cost me custody of my son, she pissed the judgeoff several times. She did such a terrible job her firm offered me a full refund of 6 grand. Shanin tried to charge me 10k for a 20 minute zoom meeting with the judge. I'm surprised sh...e still is able to practice law. Don't hire this witch!

Very judgmental

When answering a question perhaps it's best to not be an arrogant person. You knew no details other than the question asked and you assume to accuse us of failing when obviously the systems in place for these types of things failed. You can't blame parents for bad upbringing when you have no clue wha...t you speak of. Shame on you and your practice for being so rude and condensing on a parent that is trying to save his child's life!

Thank you for your review. To be clear, you and I have NEVER met, you have NEVER personally scheduled a time to consult with me or had a consult with me. You and I have no attorney-client relationship. You DID ask a question on a free attorney advice Avvo site. You asked this free forum how you can go about suing the Texas Child Protective Services and the Police. I am the only attorney who responded to your question. I'm sorry you did not like my answer. I do not feel that I deserved the comments you left on my Avvo site. I wish you the best.
